all or only some nations of this mod have events?

I would like to know what you would consider "all".....

I would like to add more of my own events to CHC as i go along - a possible war with korea or whatever - india mayhap or the rising energyshortage - 75 percent of Chinas coal for energy is being imported an figures are rising - all goes past singapore strait - the lifeline of the chinese growing richer and richer wanting Mirowaves, cars, TV's etc etc - come to think of it that figure is already a year old i believe....

so you see in that case the term "all" doesnt make much sense....

I am having a little difficulty getting your mod to work. Preinstaller and the installer worked okay, but in the instructions in the first post it says

4 - Patch the hoi.exe with the preinstaller that is located in the "Modern Day Scenario 2" folder

Can someone please walk me through how to do this (I am useless on computers, treat me like an iddiot, or an old person ;) )

I tried using the .exe in the ModernDayScenario2 folder and the game started up fine, but I had a nose arround and noticed that the Uk had no techteams (did not check with Russia). Advise please.

(also, I lol'd at Gordon Brown- Prince of Terror)

I'm sorry, the nr. 4 instruction was horrible wrong. It is supposed to be no-time-limit patch. Wierd nobody has commented on it before.

I'm pretty sure the UK techteams are working... maybe you messed some files up when you followed my wrong explanation. :)

Does China import coal? I find that difficult to belive when they have coal-reserves for the next 200+ years. You mean oil, rigth?

Have you done the events or are you considering to make them? It would be great to have you in ;)

Plausible, but only if the EU unites to show that it may just work. But even with the EU it has to be rare, and even must take some time with a ton of preliminary events. If you think about it, an EU was thrown around as an idea as early as the 1960's and it still isn't exactly real today (It it's full form of course).

Ran the no-time-limit-patch and now things are working fine, even the UK techteams have appeared.
Thanks for the swift help

true - but a lot of trading regulations etc etc etc - a lot of groundwork that EU did before the southamericas are now doing in their "union" - dont recall their letters - USA canada brazil mexico etc etc more or less build over the defense structure of the americas in the cold war - many of the same channels - the official that is not the covert mind ya :D that is already a reaction to the EU and that was years ago

if someone remembers the short on letters please say...

yeah but then even in the original game the espionage thing sometimes didnt make much sense......i believe that to a problem with the engine in the first place - hasnt been meant to fit to the espionage thing in the first place, but was a addon paradox made later.....with moxed results i might add....

by the way - the campaign ends in 2020 cold? or is there a pop up?

I am currently playng a game - now in 2007 - and i want to play for a longer time - i have already edited the enddate of the scenariofile to end in 2050 but will i have to edit the savefile as well to make it work? (edited the original campaign/scenariofile when i was in like 2006..) I am currently doing so well with china - i dont want it to end that soon.... its my baby....hehehehe

by the way what do people here think about china and taiwan in regards to the joining of taiwan with china by peacefull means - had it myself - wouldnt that trigger a full inherit? regular taggin TRA with CHC?......and if they end up on a war that would be all out anyway.....what do people think should china inherit units and all in a peacefull union???

If you already saved before editing the .eug, then yes you need to edit the save game.

Even though the enddate is 2020, you can play hundreds of years further due to the no-time-limit patch. ( There is no actual ending.) Still, some techteams, ministers and leaders have a early death-date.

well then ill just halt the russian game im currently doing and play the chinese i saved......by the way - dont forget to edit the belarus-Rus annex event and tag instead of giving rus those old "eventfreebee" belarus units

oh and i noticed - if i remember correctly that is - that Kazakstan dont got no nukes......aint that wrong - if i remember correctly they have quite a few - im not sure about the Ukraine but kazakstan has - by the way - have you checked if EU by annexing UK and France that they also get the nukes they have? - a great and powerfull EU is fine but with no nukes to back the conventional armes thier power is somewhat......shall we say.....theatrical? - an economic power of 800 IC can easily be wiped out by 200 russian nukes if they mange to find missilecarriers.....a thing i will do bloody fast as Russian as soon as i have a acceptable IC-count.....using say 60 on the EU and then another 60 on airbases in the US will maybe not protect me from a counter but if i start to feel cornered i might do it anyway - firing from many small airbases in the north and east....say cheese....*click* KAAAAWHAAAAM!

NOTES

US warhead estimates exclude a small number of warheads awaiting dismantlement and are accurate to within a few hundred warheads.

SU/Russian warhead estimates exclude warheads awaiting dismantlement or in reserve status. The total number of intact warheads is estimated to be 18,000.

UK and French stockpile estimates are believed to be accurate to within a few tens of warheads.

Chinese warhead estimates are probably not accurate to better than 50 percent, due to the uncertainty in the number of tactical warheads.

In addition to the above, Israel, India and Pakistan have nuclear arsenals, and South Africa produced six gun-assembly type weapons in the 1980s, but dismantled them in the early-1990s. Estimates of the composition and evolution of the arsenals of Israel, India and Pakistan are extremely difficult to make. Israel may have a stockpile of some 100-200 nuclear weapons, India 30-35, and Pakistan between 24 and 48 nuclear weapons.

To prevent the Eu from having too much IC, how about giving dissent for each country let in to represent the people who would never want a union? 2-5 dissent would be areasonable amount and would also represent the challenges in getting every country together into one and getting rid of some of the bureaucracy and what not.

Also, in the saudi-kuwait peace treaty after it becomes independent, kuwait signs a non-aggresion pact with itself.
