Right, well, guys,I got a problem:I used the installer and done all the stuff, yet after I finish using the installer, patch the file in the MDS2 folder and copy-paste the files in the MDS2 folder,it gives me an error, says something about a bug with escort(s) file in the DB folder or such thing.

Did I do anything wrong? What should I do to fix this problem?

it is looking pretty cool. i assume you've done much more research than i just did, but i would think for instance North Korea is too weak - 8 ic is virtually nothing, i'd be surprised if they can even supply their army with figures that low, considering that they do have a large army and relatively high defence spending (according to my 2 minutes on wikipedia). the new provinces are looking very sweet, i've not played on a modified map yet.

They do have practically wartime defence spending levels that predictably makes the quality of living low. However , even with 25% plus on defence,North Korea spends barely 5 billion on defence.

Romania spends 2 billion plus with about 2% of GDP allocated. South Korea spends 28 billion with about 3% of GDP allocated to the military.

So yes, North Korea is a disaster of a nation with a hopelessly large and obsolete military whose only trump card, militarily, are nukes. South Korea could overrun North Korea without breaking a sweat.

Killerrabbit, those screens are just beatiful. Do you mind if I ask you some questions?
What are map changes in general? As I see from images, you have changed:
-Iraq
-Syria
-Israel and Palestine
-Lebanon
-Sinay(eastern Egypt)
-you have add one more island for Taiwan
-Caucasus
-Balkans

Are there any more map changes in western and central Europe, America and other parts of Asia? You are not changing Korean peninsula and Persia? Iran is country in size of Germany and has only few provinces, Korean war would also be a bit borring featuring two border provinces.
Otherwise, great work, I'm realy happy to see that mod is close to release.

P.S.:

Will you change battle images that appear during encounter of two armies above list of units? For example German soldier with MG. Oh, and unit icons are great too.

Well, I remember something about that specific issue, where it was stated, that North Korea has a huge advantage over South Korea when it comes to sheer manpower. In contrast, the main advantage of Sout Korea is their technological superiority.

f.e. K11

K11 larger German version

Ok, found it:

--> mountainous landscape, focus on infantry warfare, gives South Korea trouble because of the huge size advantage of the North Korean Army --> need for K11

"Bei computersimulierten Gefechten zwischen mit M16 und dem K11 sehr ähnlichen XM29 ausgestatteten Infanterietrupps wurde ein Abschußverhältnis von 69:1 erzielt, ein OICW-Schütze konnte also im Durchschnitt 69 Gegner töten bevor er selbst getötet wurde. Dies hängt allerdings vom Gelände ab und ob der Gegner Schutzkleidung trägt."

XM29 vs. M 16 Kill-ratio 69:1, so the K11 should give South Korea the much needed technological edge over North Korea's army

Numerical superiority? North Korea has half of the population (20+million) of South Korea (48 million). The North Korean military is overweight , to say nothing of the fact that the Worker-Peasant Red Guard isn't much to look at,not from a conventional military point of view, and even as a guerilla force,I'd hardly think these people would die for the very regime that starves them.

The Iraqi military was 1 million man strong during the Gulf War,but that meant exactly squat.

A military twice the size with equipment twice obsolete (as of today) weakened by even more years of outright starvation let alone crisis, numerical superiority of the standing North Korean army accounts for something close to zero. The last time anybody tried human wave attacks was Iran during the Iran-Iraq war. Those assaults failed miserably.

Well, you may be right in your argumentation, but nonetheless that doesn't negate my statement above. ;)

Given the support of the US, I also believe that any conventional war between the two korean states would end in favor of the South.

These sreenshot looks absolutely great! I can't wait for the release.
But one of the screenshots says that Iran is leader of ECON. As i know, there can only be 3 named factions - so have you reduced EU to a normal military alliance?
