I've finally got it working....great mod!

The only problem is, I see many nations have problems getting resources. For example, I am the US, and I have barely any energy (losing about 250 per day), running very low on oil, metal is high (trade it for resources), but extremely low on R Materials. Now, I like the challenge, but realistically, the US would have all these increasing not decreasing (maybe not oil). Also, Iraq has no oil in their country...

EDIT: Also, for some reason.....everytime I trade for there resources, the next day, the nation I am traing with cancels the trade agreement!

Sorry guys, I've been looking into this for ya. The only thing I have been coming up with is a Registry/Fix program or something to scan for the CRC error. If anyone else can chime in and help please, would be appreciated.

I cant play this mod anymore because I have downloaded a crack to the game so that I could play without my cd and allow the rom to another other game(s). But Id thought of contribute anyways as sort of big thank you for this awesome mod to an already awesome game, and I thought of doing it with facts! I am currently studying to become a doctor in history, specializing in Swedens golden years and post WWII. So I think my knowledge could help you guys, just post some countries without events, traderoutes and/or ministers and Id get right on it! It can be, things that have happened, that is close to happen or could be happening and there could also be some fantasising.

Feedback after MP game

* USA has too much resources. Practically USA can trade all supply (even 400 supplies!) requirement for metal. USA has (too?) huge metal income.

* Syria declared war on USA after USA-Syria event. What is unclear why Syria DOWs Israel after it? War with USA is crazy (but OK, I can accept it) but DOW Israel too, it is suicide.

* Battles are too fast. Maybe you can tweak GDE values to get longer battles. In normal speed, tanks and carriers disappear in seconds without user interaction.

* USA - arab countries: it would be fine to simulate western superority better because currently the arab armies can easily beat the coalition army despite the huge coalition air superiority.

* port strike: seems too strong. An US carrier group containing 8 carriers destroys the entire chinese fleet in the port in seconds despite the strong air defense.

* transport ship: I think it is too cheap. We shouldn't forget that a TP carries an entire division. Huge TP fleets can be build in short time.

* ballistic missile: too cheap and too short building time seeing their tremendous strategic attack value. with 10-12 missile I can kick off the majority of US industry which is not too real.

* while USA can bring allience a lot of country, Shanghai pact can't, for example I have 5-6% chance to get Iran, 0 chance to get North-Korea. Not too speak about India which is a real target nowadays but India is social-democrat so it is impossible to make alliance.

... but of course the mod is great is is fun to play with it :)

I have some ideas for possible peace events

EUROPE
Russian victory: Russia has annexed France, that launches a peace event with EU. Russia can choose what to do with conquered provinces.
Option A : Russia keeps the lands
Option B : Russia creates puppet states from conquered countries
Option C : Russia liberates conquered countries, ends their puppet mastery and all created nation leave Shanghai pact​

Russian defeat: EU has taken Murmansk, Leningrad, Moscow and Stalingrad. Byelorussia gets independence. And maybe a year after the peace a possible russian civil war (too much CoD 4 :D )

MIDDLE-EAST
Coalition defeat: USA is driven out of Iraq. Iran creates an Arab Federation and annexes all arab nations except Israel (wich will soon get DOWed and crushed by the Federation)

Coalition Victory: Iran is puppeted by USA. Iraq gets some provinces from Iran

ASIA
Shanghai defeat: China gets annexed by Taiwan

Shanghai victory: China annexes Taiwan. North-Korea annexes South-Korea and after that attacks Japan. Chinese and Russian forces land in Seattle (Just like in World in Conflict) and at the same time they have landed, Cuba declares war against coalition. If China annexes USA, they will create a puppet and Cuba gets Florida. And after that a series of peace events and the world is in finally in peace.

HOI is a game, not just a simulation. If we simulate all perfectly we get an unplayable game. Imagine a multiplayer campagin with MDS2, currently no one has chance against the Coalition. Currently USA can buy all the supply need and build airplanes/navy from ca. 500 IC. It is real? Perhaps. It is playable? Not sure.

I'm trying to create a balanced MP but it seems the Shanghai-pact countries has not too much chance against USA/UK.

So I finally got the game to work [ for the most part ]. I load it up, choose a nation, and start. I've done this three times now, and I keep getting this error, help?

Kauai, that was exactly mine error, I've solved the thing bypassing the preinstaller: doing a total copy of vanilla-patched DD's folder and installing directly the mod on it, and then executing the hoi2.exe patcher.
I'm still playing with no problems :)
oh, and I would to say... very cool mod version, I'm having fun also with a minor like Lybia! good job!

Does that mean you can play this without the preinstaller? Cos I can't download that part of the mod.

Exactly. :)
Obviously you need to manually copy a "plain" DoomsDay-1.3a patched folder, and then installing on it the mod.
In that way you copy also a lot of things of the basic game that are useless for the mod, but at least it works... and without problems.

Yeah, I'd like that. Everyone that is interested can choose a country; and make events + extra ministers to elections. I can make a list in the first post with countries, and who is doing them. That way, people who have nation-specific suggestions can direct them to the right person :) .

Example:
Russia -> Floridan
Sudan -> Killerrabbit

If the persons contributing have lots of time to spare, they can do more than one country.

The important is: Election events, crisis, flavor events and such.


Reply, anyone, if you are interested, the mod won't make itself ;) .
