Naw... Russia lived through a pretty bad depression already. That's just not going to happen. IRL anyway.

Really, people. Not quite everything is about money ;). Almost, but not quite ;)

Truthfully, there is a medium amount of support for communism in Russia (30 %?), even today. With a large depression and the fact that there economy isn't very good today, commies just might be able to come back (probably not, but it's the best thing we can come up with). For the scenario we made, I'm pretty dead on using it. I don't think it is possible to come up with anything more realistic or better, so i think we should use that one.

No problem with thr spelling, I really don't care.

In the main plot we are going to use, there isn't going to be a war between the EU and the U.S.

I thought the idea was that after the initial start, things would degenerate, and MAYBE lead to a war between the EU and the US. I think that at least the player should have the ability to do it, thorugh events for example.

Well, I'm not sure if there is going to be a CTF vs. the CotW war in the new idea. Maybe after the whole 10-year or so long war against China/NK/Russia.

Well, when I suggested the US could be "evil" for once, it was not received...kindly. But hey, it's so much easier putting the EVIL label on Russia, China, and any European country! ;)

Please refrain from trying to spark this argument again :D

Well, it's pretty easy putting the "evil" label on China, because they are ;)

With Russia, they aren't evil anymore, but why not revert them back :D

And the "any other european country" thing, I have no clue where you got that from.

But please, just delete your post to halt a fight. Please?

But, thinking of it, won't the game, as it is now, be quite a downer? Basically it is US+UK, and quite possibly the rest of the western world versus North Korea, Iran, China etc. IMo, that is overkill, and we should leave room for interesting, unhistorical events.

The best idea, IMO:

Let us create different campaigns. One is the default "realistic" one, the other a US gone bad, a third a ressurgant Russia claiming former Soviet land and so on.

Other campaigns can be set in the middle of WWIII, with whatever situations that might hold, so that the player isn't forced to "wait" every time. (Think of the "Blitzkrieg" scenario compared to the "Road to War" scenario in HoI)
