Go the mdshome.com tools section and download the patch thats says 'NTL for Doomsday'. Do not use the one that is included in the download it wont work for DD.

My problem is that the game crashes shortly after I start playing. Any ideas?

You have to save and restart the game as soon as you have loaded. Then reload the save and it should go fine.

Hallo

I just installed MDS2 Beta 1.2.0 for Doomsday.
My Doomsday installation is the german version of the game.

I started a game as Germany and experienced that the countries and their names are mixed up. For example: Germany is Litauen, Poland is Arab Emirates etc.

The mod is not playable like this.

Is there a way to fix that problem?

Go into the World_names file and under the german section change the names...off the top of my head it looks something like this

tag;eng;ger;spanish...

ger;Germany;Deutschland;Alemania

something of that sort, it's pretty easy to figure out just dont remove the semi colons.

why does the taiwanese armies that I create have russian names? I think they are called "#ya uralsk korpus" or something.

by the way, have you started to create new ai-files yet? I know it's a beta and all, and i like the idea with this mod, but when the ai just sit around and do nothing it's not fun.
another thought, is it really reasonable for China to get 50-60 manpower every day? I know they have the world's largest population... but isn't it a little bit too much?

Ok, I enjoy this mod very much and have been adding stuff to it myself like, ministers, tech-teams, various pictures, some events and etc. I also made a united EU scenario to match the US IC-wise and stuff.
So I might as well join as a team member, if you got work for me?

Try saving as often as possible and load again and again when the game crashes. With a little luck you'll finally get through the first weeks or so and by then the game have probably stabilized.

my game also crashed after about a week or so in-game... save the game and reload and then everything should be fine.

I just installed the mod and when I go to play I can load up fine with whatever country, but when I join it automatically gives me the "You have failed/achieved victory" tab and if I click it, it boots me. I also cannot play with it in my face as it won't allow me to do things such as use technology. Any way around this?

In the MDS2 1.10 .rar file there is an executable named "Doomsday V1.2". Put it in the Modern Day Scenario 2 folder, execute it and select "crack it".
Now you should can play the game.

Because they currently have the tag TRA and not CHI which the makers gave to of all people, Chechenya. (HEY, IS THERE AN I IN CHECHENYA??? )

TRA, IIRC, was Transural, a puppet post-USSR nation.

Hello there , i just downloaded your mod and i must say it looks phenominom(hehe big word , u get the point) , i have one question thought , will their be a patch that makes Ministers for some of the user created countrys like souther Africa , they have no ministers.

Edit: This mod seems to have a lot of CTD in the begining.
Okay what i wanted to ask is why dosent this mod have a subfourm like TRP or C.O.R.E2? you should ask about one.
