Don't know if you chaps have looked at the newly released Core project. But I think alot of what they are doing in terms of tech tree would be great to see in this mod. Probably for a later version of course since changing the tech tree shouldn't be done willy nilly.

I like in their industrial section how they deal classify each country as industrial/semi-industrial/and industrialized and how this affects which industry techs are available. I think something along the same lines would be great for this mod, though perhaps with a high tech industry component as well to represent the ability to make microchips vs the ability to make tractors.

Also, I like in their tech tree the "air mission" option which essentially gives minors an airforce of semi outdated planes and neg modifiers to their air units. They also seem to have this option for tank technologies, representing buying foreign made ones. As well as "key industry techs" like air industry tech which allows you to build your own model aircraft (otherwise you have to use the much less expensive "air mission" tech) I think this would be great for MDS since aside from the majors no one else is making major weapons systems, just buying them and advisors from the majors. (I'm gonna put israel, argentina, south africa in the major class since they build some of their own systems)

In mid-2002 the armed forces of Cyprus were de facto decapitated, as a helicopter bearing the army chief and the air force chief crashed during an exercise. I didn't find any news articles covering the inauguration of a new air force chief, but Athanasios Nicolodemos was inaugurated as new army chief at least.

I just found out that "Timor Leste" and "East Timor" is the same country but the official name is "East Timor". If you want to use the name "Timor Leste" you must write "Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste" if you want it to be correct.

It runs semi fast now. (on super high speed)

couple of things right off, Russia still lacks air defense techs, static anti air, they should likely have at least modern static anti air, during the cold war they had a huge air defense system, and are the major exporter of SAMs these days still.

Also as the USSR my TC is in the red at the start of the game, is that right? 596/218? Or is this based on the old unit stats still?

Also, I see cruise/balistic/nuclear missiles are dirt cheap, and do lots of STR bombing damage. is this WAD?
I worry at this point about unit bloat for these units, plus perhaps they are overpowered except for the nukes. Also I think they should be fairly expensive since most countries don't have lots of them, esp nukes.

Samu mentioned to me that if he ran the game with an older HOI2.exe (ver 1.2) it would increase speed a great deal. Because of copyright agreements we can not distribute hoi2.exe from Mdshome. If you like to try it I think you could download the 1.2 patch (from Paradox) and install it to e.g C:\temp, pick out the .exe and delete the installation.

I have much less insight in the mod these days since I'm partly working partly studiying and somewhere inbetween that trying to live a life so I can not really answer your question regarding the Russia related material.
I'm most certain Samu (who is away over the weekend) or any of the other team members will comment on it though.
