I just realized the following: a 1995 DD is good against subs (ok) but in the description it is called personell:850, light cruisers:1.
The 1995 FF is good against other ships and minor good against subs (ok). personell:1650, destroyers:5.

So the FF is a small fleet of 5 destroyers/frigates and the DD is a single light cruiser? I am not a marine experts but it seems a bit mixed up. I know in modern fleets the frigates are nearly the smalles ships (beside patrol or torpedo boats). Maybe the descriptions could be changed to DD Destroyer and FF frigates?

Edith:AH....before I forget it: Russia tries to steal blueprints from FRG for the last 3 years or so (seems to be ok), USA tries to disrupt production or raise a smear campaign (we are allied...but after the last real live events...hmmm...ok) and...the "super power" Moldova tries to raise a smear campaign against me and recently succeeded to fund partisans in Great Britain (Antilles). Interesting. China is pushing against Japan. Vietnam and Pakistan joined the Shanghai pact. Lets see where this will end.....

Mod stable for now.

Edith2: Now I realized..Obama is President of USA...and....ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER is the Armaments Minister?!?!?!? Awesome....

Edith3: LoL...Violation of 2+4 treaty....hmmm...ok..reload of earlier save game and...less army...and no nuclear reactor....

Edith4: Meanwhile Turkey had a coup and now old generals rule...lol

Edith5: I dont want to play too ahistorical. I dont want to break the 2+4 treaty. What are the excat rules for that? Historically: Army max 370000 (Standing army? Army in building? Manpower available?) No allied troops in eastern part of Germany. No ABC weapons (No building of a nuclear reactor? Not even researching those techs?)

I state that I play with Russia.
I noticed that some pictures may not correspond to the relevant divisions / brigades.
Which file should be done on change to correct this problem?
I would make sure that pictures and divisions / brigades, at least those Russian, match. It is possible or it is necessary a specific program?

Thanks

If you are talking about the sprites on the map, it is a bit of work.
The tanks shown as helicopters is easily fixed with an editor wich is linked in this thread a few pages back.
You can also fix the HQ with that.
I also used it to make tactical fighters look like fighters instead of bombers.

For the USA, strategic bomber sprite is bugged: the standing sprite shows a bomber, the moving sprite shows a stealth bomber, while the attacking sprites are the standard bomber again.
You can fix this by renaming some files, but it is tricky to find out wich file you need to use.

Also I'm pretty sure there is a sprite out there for the USA tactical Nighthawk but I've been unable to find it.

Ciao Bolle
No I did not mean the sprite.
At each division / brigade corresponds to a picture (example: the tank T80 must match a picture of a tank T80) these images are in the folder gfx / intefaces / models and are called ill_division_0.0.bmp and so on. I would like to figure out which files need to change to match the 'correct image to the relative division / brigade. I hope I was clear.

You were very close to answering your own question if I'm correct.

It is all in the file name. For example: ill_div_JAP_4_0. is the illustration for a japanese tank div I think, I cannot check right now.
To replace this picture in game you just need to find the picture you want to use, rename it to the exact name and put it in the map, overwriting the old file. I do not know anything about file format and sizes, if i change stuff like this i use files from the mod that are already correct.

Breaking down the filename: the "ill" part means it is an illustration. "div" is for division, the 4 refers to the unit type. 4 is a tank division, 5 is probably the tank brigade. 22 for another example is for destroyer. The 0 is the 'research or upgrade level' of the unit. The higher the number the more advanced the unit.

Great news Dread. Because .... I'm going crazy trying to fix the appropriate images with their relative divisions / brigades.

Yeah they were pretty jumbled up, but on the bright side that should be fixed soon. In other news, progress on the new tech tree is coming along well, I might post some teasers of it soon :D

That depends on where my priorities land, I could spend time trawling through and fixing the unit pics or I could spend more time on events and the new tech tree. Which would people prefer?

Hey Dread,
I would prefer that what is already there is correct before adding new things. More events will be nice though. Know that Queen song? "I want it all and I want it now!"... but Im happy with anything. The mod is really nice as it is and looks like it is getting even better.
Looking at the screenshot, I like how the tech is expanded up to 2045 and beyond.

Ciao Dread
I believe, therefore, that in order to have a new version we will have to wait a little longer. Right?
So I ask you if you can tell me how to do and which files to edit in order to fix the pictures with the correct divisions/brigades.

thanks

That would all depend on which units you want to change, message me and I'll see what I can do.

@ Boll - Well you're in luck for new events, my friend Hansnery who is running the Turning Point mod was able to make me some new flags and shields so the work on the ISIS events continues. I'll start teasing more of the new tech tree as it comes together.

Pros: Tree is simple and easily understandable
Cons: Maybe it's personal but I don't like the new look of tech labels

They actually don't look like that, I'm working on the tech tree in a copy of Turning Point that Hans sent me. The labels will look the same as the current MDS ones when I implement it.
