I have been working on new images and icons for the mod, I have also improved techteams icons! I hope you can add to your original game for the next version!

What I'd like to ask you is this. Do you know how to work on pictures that are for units that can't yet be built? If you do, can you work on those for all the Major countries? Also, if you can take out all the old blurred pics with the lines in the middle and then replace them with new one, then that'd be a great help.

The thing is derek, I spent ages trying to get all the pics for the units that are available to build. The problem is, I haven't yet sorted out the pics for units that can't yet be built and this is what I'd like you to work on.

The European Union events need some tweaking. There's some gaps in the cores you gain when you integrate certain nations, and even in cored provinces dissent can often times be ridiculously high in certain random areas. As well, there's a real lack of flavor for them after the integration events (sans that Somalian one and CERN). I also edited the events so you inherit nation's military's when you annex them, and I might end up adding certain ministers/leaders from other nations once you integrate them. (Currently you just keep the Franco-German for the whole game.)

You have to go into this: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Darkest Hour A HOI Game\Mods\Hybrid MDS\db . Inside the db folder, there's a txt file called event.txt. You have to go in there and delete the #at the very bottom of the page. Its the last line where it says "db\events\european_union.txt" .

Does this mod allow you to bring extremist parties to power (e.g. the French National Front/German National Democratic Party)?

Decided to give the mod a try, but it just crashes on startup for me...

@Prometheus - Currently there aren't any real events for the extremist factions to take power, but most of the western nations have ministers for it. If you move your sliders around you'll notice the extremist parties can take power that way. As for events, they are on my to do list but aren't terribly high.

@AtheistDane - I'm fairly certain Felipe already fixed the counter issue and can put it into a hotfix, I'll message him and find out.

@Sitearth - Sounds like a bad install. Did you extract it over DH full or just extract it into the mods folder? MDS doesn't need to be extracted onto a copy of DH full, simply place it into mods.

Removed it, and attempted to reinstall. Same issue, CTD during initial load screen. Re-downloading now, will attempt again with re-downloaded file

Yep, no go on the re-download as well. Loading screen appears with the new background and the new quote, but CTD before reaching the menu

If I remember correctly, this was one of the mods that didn't require you to paste over Darkest Hour Full so could that be an issue?

No, I'm not pasting over Darkest Hour Full, just placing it in the Mods folder alongside Darkest Hour Full and Darkest Hour Light

Hey Felipe, tried to message you and your inbox was full, in any case yes I will research what you have asked me too, the starting date is still 2003 right, just as a reference point for research.

Also sorry for the late reply, I've been moving around a lot lately and this is the first time I've been settled and able to even look at these forums.

I did a full fresh install of DH and 1.03 patch, then installed MDS again and it seems to be working in this fresh install.
