Heres one for the US:

Title:Revive the Draft!

Description: Seeing the strength of the communist the President has declared that "This isn't just a war, this is a fight for the free world, this is for the future of the world. Everyone must play their part in this war. to end the reign of terror and communist that is invading the innocent countries of democracy." He was greeted by a euphoric crowd however when he made it clear that he wanted a draft, the crowd was in silence.

Trigger: China taking the capitol of S. korea and tawian.

Option A: Reinstitute the Draft!
This would create a Huge manpower boost of 500 or something. however it would require a dissent rise of 10-25.

Option B: We have a fine military already!
This would lower dissent a little however will recieve no manpower boost.

Option C:We don't need a dreaft, But call up the reserves!
A rise in manpower by about 75 or so, and only a dissent rise of 5-10.

Another for the US

Title: The war on terrorism continues

Description: With the liberations of Iraq and Afghanistan, the president has announced that there is good reason to believe that syria is harboring and financing the terrorist. Today the president has made it clear that war with syria is necessary it has the declaration of war has passed congress and the president declared war on the syrians. The syrians immediatly called for help from the iranians and the iranians declared war a couple hours later on the US.

Trigger: I think a date (you can diecide what the date is)

option A: we have no choice but to declare war, regardless of the reaction from the people at home!
War and a dissent hit of about 10-20

option B:While we know that terrorism must be stopped we can't risk a public revolt in our own country!
no war-no dissent hit

Syrian options
if US chooses A
Option 1:Call on our iranian friends to defeat the American Killers!
triggers the iranian event

option 2: We don't need the Iranians, will still make the Americans pay dearly!
War with US

if US chooses option B
Option 1:The Americans are cowards!
no war (Highly unlikely)

iranian Options
If Us chooses option A and syria chooses option 1:
option 1:Help our sunni friends!
War with US

option 2: They are on their own!
Syria is alone in war against US

if you want me two i can modify or erase this event

I thought about it, it then raises the question as to who would work in the now vacant women's jobs ;). It seems reasonable that a country that doesn't institute a draft would have a bit more industrial capability than one that doesn't. Perhaps a small dissent hit and a moderate IC hit or perhaps an IC boost for NOT instituting the draft?

Thanks for working with these events.

Well plus 500 manpower hardly seemed to me like the entire male population. I assumed it would be a draft like the old cold war type not like Germany in 1945. Not to many teens right out of high school have advanced factory jobs.

We aren't going to have Nukes.

Nukes WILL NOT be present in this game, unless they are allocated through an event.
Wouldnt be very easy to make an event that triggers then NK gets their nukes as they will get it through events?
