By purchasing this pack you directly support the creator, and future creators from within our community!

Jason, known as Amipolizeifunk on Steam Workshop, has put together a massive pack of new buildings that will help you define your city center with modern looking wall-to-wall buildings. These buildings are the perfect fit for a modern city center!

The pack comes with 39 unique models that each have multiple variants, resulting in 70 new buildings for your cities!

This is the first pack to include semi-transparent glass barriers and awnings, allowing both modders and veteran builders alike to create amazing new cities.

Also available is the new Downtown Radio Station, which can be purchased in a bundle with the Modern City Center Pack for a discount price! Details are on each store page.

This is cool. I'd like to see more modders getting an opportunity to freelance their work.

As much as I admire their work when free, these guys need to eat. Time spent getting paid to mod means more content that can be specialised for special interests.

Good DLC, at least it uses European Suburbia style on district styles and not like Art Deco and University City CCPs where they grow randomly.

A bit sad I learned about it outside the official forum :/

My daughter sent me a text 15mn ago : "dad, why didn't you purchase the latest dlc for Cities ? I can't find it on your Steam !!".
I answered "I did buy the latest dlc, remember you even created a nice university you were so proud of."
Her again "But there is a new one !! You did not already see it ??"

Devs, this is how good your game is : pushing a lovely young girl into bullying her daddy when a new content is barely out since a few hours. :D

This is wonderful. So nice to see modders getting support from the company.

I just thought of something I’m on Xbox one and I have a question before I buy modern city what’s semi transparent?

Glass you can look through. E.g. on the top of the corner buildings from the posted screenshot. I really hope this will be a taste of future official support. Currently we rely on a mod, sub-buildings and fiddling with mesh properties that we don't fully understand to actually get things like glass to work.

I'm pretty sure this glass is no different from all you see on the workshop. ;)

So did you set these up so they can used as a district template? If you do that, so a district will use your buildings automatically when assigned I will buy it. If these are just ploppables I won't.

Those building look nice ! Good job, Amipolizeifunk. ;)

But that's a shame it can't be used to its full potential because a district can only have 1 style.

I mean : if I mix high density residential (and I want the European style for them), low density residential (and I want the European Suburbia for them) and high density commercial (and I want this new style for them), there is no easy way to do it. :(

You can generate a custom district style in the theme manager. It's a bit cumbersome, but not too hard?

You can't make a custom style, because for styles you can only select workshop assets, so the DLC ones won't show up.

But there's a better and easier way. Get the Building Themes mod. With it you can have multiple themes per district and you can easily make your own while in game. It's much faster to use than the styles and imo it's way better. Building Themes also automatically converts styles to themes, though I think it can only do that for styles from the workshop. It comes with a premade style for European Suburbia (I think it needs an update to do the same for MCC), as well as the international and European styles.

Ah.. I seem to have forgotten that this is a functionality added by a mod. It's so useful, and themes work just as well as styles in general.
