I would like to request 3 things be added for moddability.

1. The ability to change the duration of the check box of how long you can prevent close family members from getting married. The check box that disable the marriage AI for close family members I believe in the game is currently hardcoded to have a 10 year limit. Could you please add the duration to the defines so that we can mod how it is or maybe added it to game rules where the duration is 1 year, 10 years, or lifetime.

2. I believe Investiture is currently hardcoded for only Catholicism and Fraticelli, could you make it possible to make custom religions have Investiture?

3. The ability to have both polygamy and concubinage. In early versions of the game you could have both though modding, or by choosing a religion with polygamy with Celtic culture or having Tribal government, but in more recent versions of the game you guy have changed it so that polygamy always takes precedence over concubinage. I understand that the game's interface is not designed to handle both, because when you have both the game usually only shows your secondary spouses and not your concubines. The way that this could be fix is that you display both secondary spouses and concubines in the same box, but give the secondary spouses and concubines different symbols or outlines on their portraits to show which one they are. Kind of like how when you have bastards and officially recognized children.

1. Agreed !

2. This is already in the game - I just checked the religions.txt file and the entry for Catholics has the line "investiture = yes", so presumably this can be set for any custom religion.

3. FWIW I once had and idea for Chinese style "levels of concubinage" using custom honorary titles. The idea was that the government/religion/culture would have concubinage on, but would then include a) a custom decision to make one of your ordinary Consorts (concubines) your First Consort ("wife"), and b) a number of honorary titles in two flavors (Senior Consorts and Concubines), both would provide a small amount of prestige and have a small chance of getting pregnant each year (with children allowed to be legitimised), there would also be more custom decisions to be moved up or down the social tree.

Not a perfect solution but it would allow much more complex concubinage and consort structures than we have now.

Problem is it doesn't seem to do anything. I added investiture = yes to other religions and other christian religions and it didn't change anything. I asked in the quick modding thread if there were other files I needed to edit to make it work, and someone said it was hardcoded to just Catholics and Fracticelli. Cause I tried to add it to the Messalian religion in the Christian religious group and basic nothing happened.

From the Wiki - "Determines if it is possible to appoint bishops. Is modified by Investiture law. Only works for christian group, cannot be combined with autocephaly"

I know the wiki says that, but in practice when you type investiture = yes to any christian religion without autocephaly that is not Fractecilli or Catholic, it doesn't work. I did that with Messalian and there is no option to switch to investiture in laws, and you simply cannot appoint bishops. I forgot what file it was, where it limits investiture from showing up before year 1,000 I believe... I removed that line and still no options to have investiture as Messalian. So unless there is more files to edit somewhere to make it possible... adding investiture = yes in the religion files doesn't do anything for any other christian religions.

I don't know what to say here - I checked the defines.lua file as well as all of the event files looking for the term "investiture" and came up with nothing interesting ore relevant. Lots of references to investiture laws, but nothing in particular about investiture itself. I assume that you tried simply adding the "investiture =yes" line to a random Christian heresy, did you get any effect at all or just nothing ? This may be a bug worth reporting.
