So I'm creating a mod that just changes up some of the starting territories and one thing I wanted to change is which states had slavery and which ones didn't. I was wondering what files I would go to to change it. For example if I wanted Cuba to not have Slavery at the start, or have Alaska to have it at the start.

EDIT: Just realized I didn't post this in User Modifications like you should, sorry. =P

Thank You, but it didn't work. Not even actual slave state provinces had that code in their files.

St Augustine, Tallahassee and Tampa have that code in their history files, but they're the only ones. Maybe the game decides which states are slave states based on whether they contain slave POPs at the beginning of the game?

This post has some interesting information regarding how slave states are defined in the game:

And indeed I can't seem to get Oman to have slave states, even though slave POPs are defined for it. The only thing that solved the issue is, as the author of that post mentioned, changing the line order in Oman's history file. Namely, putting the reforms above the code that sets the ruling party and defines the upper house.
