Bit of a difficult one here, but I'm wondering if it would be possible to limit demense laws so that they only apply in the primary kingdom? I want to make the CA laws demense laws and I'd like them to differ for titles if a character has several.
Bumping.

No, like this.

Code:
can_use_title = {
		tier = COUNT
		OR = {
			FROM = {
				has_landed_title = PREV
			}
			holder_scope = {
				is_liege_or_above = FROM
			}
		}

		location = {
			# One of the following must be true:
			#	The province borders the attacker's realm/demesne
			#	The province is coastal and the attacker is a patrician
			OR = {
				any_neighbor_province = {
					has_owner = yes
					owner = {
						OR = {
							character = ROOT
							is_liege_or_above = ROOT
						}
					}
				}
				port = yes
			}
			# Cannot use against same-culture-group provinces
			NOT = { culture_group = ROOT }
			# Must not already be sacked
			NOT = { has_province_modifier = sacked }
		}
}

Although I would personally restrict it so that you cannot target coastal counties unless you personally own a coastal county. Testing for that would require a small amount of scope magic, but shouldn't be too hard.

Awesome, thank you. This is my first foray into any kind of CK2 modding, so I haven't the first idea how to restrict the CB unless you own a coastal county, though.

Not possible. The primary difference between Crown Laws and Domain Laws is that one applies to de jure territories and the other applies to de facto territories.
For what reason do you wish to make the CA laws domain laws?
I want certain features like the war declaration restrictions to apply across the board rather than just to de jure vassals. I could remove those features and make it a demense law, but that kind of renders the CA laws useless then. I'm not getting maximum levy numbers from the CA laws either because they are only applying in the de jure areas, so if I split it into another law which controls levy numbers, CA basically becomes redundant.

Given that it's only use in vanilla is to check if somebody qualifies to be a Winter Soldier, I would assume 'is_winter' checks that the province is actually having a winter. (As a curiosity, the executable file doesn't have checks for the other seasons…) So far as I can tell, there are no other scripting checks related to climate.

In researching this, I encountered an oddity: province 599 is listed under both mild & normal winter in climate.txt. 365 & 396 are listed twice under the same category.
Thanks for clarifying.
I would have liked to have more precise checks for some events, but I guess this will have to do.

This is a technical question about portraits, I have a set of hairs that goes from a-t, in-game the hairs work you can use them and stuff, but in history files everything after the letter 'o' is ignored they just become another letter i.e properties="ataaa" become "agaaa" for some reason. If the limit is indeed 'o' I would need to do a new culture which is a bother but anyway I was wondering if that's it indeed the case? Did anybody experience something similar? I seriously can't find anything about portraits there's only 1 single thread that talk about it. Oh and by the way the DNA work fine after the letter 'o' it's only just the properties that get overwritten for some reason.

How do I upload my mod to the steam workshop, been searching for about an hour now and can't find a single upload button anywhere. And I am trying to download this Chronicle mod to use but everytime it just downloads an empty zip file.)[/url]

In-game there's a button called "content" where you can upload mods on the workshop I recall.

Hello,

I try to make an effect in a decision to NOT fire if a council seat is occupied. I cannot figure out the correct syntax, the decision ignores the condition like I set it. For example the court chaplain:

I tried this:
Code:
effect = {
NOT = {
	any_courtier = { has_job_title = job_spiritual }
xxx effect script xxx
}

And this:
Code:
effect = {
			hidden_tooltip = {
				any_courtier = {
						limit = {
							NOT = { has_job_title = job_spiritual }
						}

				}
			}
***effect***
}

I just need this because I included effects for all council seats into one decision and wanted it to be smart about it. (the decision list is long enough as it is :)
Everything works, except that the conditions are ignored. Any help is welcome :)

Thanks :)

Hi all! Is there a way to change the picture of a province via event or something ? As I have a holding that's Coptic Christian but in a Muslim province so it's picture is of a mosque.

For temple holdings, I believe the settlement picture depends on the religion of the owner of the province, not the religion of the temple holder, nor the religion of the province, am I correct ?

Yeah but if I want to have a Coptic Christian temple holder in a Muslim owned province how would I change the picture to a Christian one?

I've got a single province that refuses to work on this overhaul map of ours. It's got a file in history/provinces, it's got an entry in definitions.csv, I adjusted the max_provinces value, it's in landed_titles, and I've triple checked that the colour codes match in definitions.csv. At this point, I have no clue what's causing this and was hoping for a suggestion.
As far as I can tell, yes.

definition file:
Code:
1036;77;103;164;Soaron Mountain;x

Provinces file: 1036 - Soaron Mountain
Code:
# c_soaron_mountain

# County Title
title = c_soaron_mountain

# Settlements
max_settlements = 1

b_temple_of_soaron = tribal

# Misc
culture = wildling
religion = wildfaith

#History

Anyone able to help with this?

Yeah but if I want to have a Coptic Christian temple holder in a Muslim owned province how would I change the picture to a Christian one?

Not sure. There are 2 ethnicities specified in vanilla.
I assume one refers to the graphical_culture of the religion of the province owner, but I don't know for the other one !
Code:
	spriteType = {
		name = "GFX_settlement_temple_norsegfx_norsegfx"
		texturefile = "gfx\\interface\\placeholder_temple_norse.tga"
		noOfFrames = 1
		norefcount = yes
	}
	spriteType = {
		name = "GFX_settlement_temple_norsegfx_muslimgfx"
		texturefile = "gfx\\interface\\placeholder_temple_norse.tga"
		noOfFrames = 1
		norefcount = yes
	}

Anyone able to help with this?

What do you mean by "the province refuses to work" ? He doesn't appear ?
