It doesn't make sense. I've checked the file top to toe, put brackets everywhere, and it's still complaining.

I can't do anything because it refuses to tell me WHERE THE BLOODY PROBLEM IS. YOU'RE NOT HELPING, YOU STUPID VALIDATOR! WHERE?! WHERE IS THE PROBLEM? WHERE IS THE PROBLEM BRACKET, NOTEPAD++?! WHERE IS THE ILLEGAL! TELL ME!!

...Why must it be so difficult to make women go on adventures? That's all I wanted. All I got rid of were those stupid restrictions. No other modding caused me these issues.

I'm at the point of asking for a 'fresh' file-since the game is unplayable till this is fixed or reverted somehow.

I know how to set up wars for bookmarks between characters with landed titles, but how would one go about establishing a war using unlanded characters and the peasant revolt CB? I'm looking to include the Zanj Rebellion in my mod.

Bumping this. What I'd like to do is have a peasant_revolt war between the Abbasids and Zanj rebels on-going at the start of the 867 campaign. I just need to know how to set up wars involving technically unlanded characters who have one of the generated, temporary, titular titles.

Seriously guys, a little help. Does anyone know? Has no one played with this?

So could I simply add such a temporary titular title to landed_titles.txt as long as it included the temporary=yes & rebels=yes lines, give the title a character via history/titles, and then create a war between the two?

This has probably already been asked, but how do you change which cultures use which clothes? I don't want to add new clothes I just want to make certain cultures use the Republic clothes instead of the basic ones because they look more renaissance-like. I can't find any files that present an obvious way of changing stuff.

Ninja edit: Oh also, I'd like to make Emperor level characters use King crowns instead of Emperor level and King level possibly using the Duke headband, how would I do that while using the Republic clothes for everyone else?

In case you did read them, state whether the suggestion worked or not. Did it relieve (part of) the problem or increase it?

It is not very stimulating for people to answer your problem when you don't even acknowledge the existence of their attempts to help.
People will simply ignore you if you don't (and there are not many ppl here to answer questions to start with!)

Set 'tier = duke' immediately below 'can_use_title', with no scope before it.
Edit: should be 'tier = king' of course :p. The check titles commands only set where the game looks, not the target of the search.

He found the portrait text file and I explained him what it said (well, I stated my induction of what I think it said)

I've acknowledged the help, I did everything asked, notepad++, the validator. But none of the brackets seem to be unclosed to me, even with going through it with Notepad++-everything closes up properly with nothing left outside the markers. There's nothing not matching up as far as I can see. And the Validator isn't telling me where within the Adventures file the problem is-no line number or anything.

The result is the help...isn't exactly helpful. And I'm still stuck with an unplayable game. I can't understand what I'm looking for or looking at despite having done minor modification before.

What else can I do but scream for help?

I'm trying to add some custom titular kingdoms/empires/duchies to the my game. I'm running a whole bunch of mods at the same time so i can't really fit in a proper additional titles mod, so im trying to modify one of the mods by manually adding some titular titles. I'm running: PB+SWMH+NBRT+ARKO+AO2+Cultural Cities+CPR+Family Relations+VIET Assets, Events,Traits.

I assume i need to add the titular titles to SWMH folder. I added k_spain to titular_titles.txt in SWMH common/landed_titles folder and it worked perfectly and shows up in game when you search for title. However, i've tried adding 2-3 other kingdoms but none of them shows up in game no matter what i do. Anyone knows what the problem is? Is something conflicting? I'm so confused and tired already.
