I really have to give props to Paradox on this one, the game is hugely modifiable very easily. Given inspiration by Croatia's historical file which lists as rulers the bans of Croatia I decided to do a little modding. It took me less then half an hour to create a new government type (Banate), set it as Croatia's government type and create a event in the case Croatia is no longer a vassal.

However, I've run into a little hitch. The event I created is basically a "we're no longer ruled by foreigners and should decide how to be ruled in the future" and I'm offering several options in it. I've managed to get it to change governments (government = newgovernment strangely enough :p ), however I'm having problems finding the correct function to kill off the current monarch and get a new one. Anyone that can help with that? Note that I do not want a custom monarch, I just want the current one to die/retire/get out of the picture and a new one to be created.

Also, I'd like to force an regency period if a feudal monarchy is chosen. Is that possible?
