I just switched from modding Victoria: Revolutions on a PC to modding Victoria: Revolutions on a MAC.

I transferred everything I had modded on the PC over to this Mac without any problems. But I have had problems modding on the Mac. The problem I think is the text editor I am using on *.csv files. On the PC, I used Notepad and that worked fine. On the Mac, I have been using TextEdit.

I used to be able to edit event_text.csv without any problem. But now if I edit event_text.csv with TextEdit, I keep getting "USA went with ACTIONNAME 1502A in EVT_NAME_1502" and so forth for EVERY event I have edited using TextEdit.

Please help.

I fixed the problem, so I thought I would reply here for the benefit of any other Mac users out there.

TextEdit had everything I modded as one big block of text, so I guess the game could not read it. I downloaded TextWrangler (a free plain text editor for Mac), copied everything I modded out, posted it into a Google document, and pasted it back into event_text.csv. This time the Event Names and the Action Names were broken up like they were supposed to.

I'm probably one of the few people who edits event_text.csv; most people probably do it manually in the event files. Oh well.
