I'm currently working on update 1.2 for Ride for Ruin: a Lord of the Rings mod for Hoi4, which will flesh out several countries and thus bring a lot of new design companies-- and their icons-- to the game. I assume that the upcoming MIOs will continue to use the same icons as their current counterparts, since getting rid of them would waste a lot of hard work, but I would appreciate if any dev can confirm whether or not my new design companies will need the same type of art asset.
