I am working on an Iberian submod and one of the features I'm considering to add is a Reconquista bloodline, like the vanilla one. However, there will be no vanilla Reconquista events or decisions, nor any other special mechanics to represent the Reconquista wars. I feel they fit within the game existing mechanics and that reworks like the one from Holy Fury, OP or not, are gamey.

The thing is, I was wondering which conditions should I set for the bloodline. It must be taken into account that it's not a Tier 1 bloodline with awesome effects like Alexander's, but I don't want it to feel easy. I had thought about setting a number of Holy Wars won in Iberia, but I feel that may be to simple, and anyway, what would be a good number? It must be hard, so that not everybody gets it, but not hard like "start 867 as Asturias, reconquer Iberia before you die" hard.

As the title says, I'm open to suggestions

Hold Granada, Cordoba, Sevilla, Toledo, and form the Spanish Empire

Yes, I have another bloodline like that planned. Something like finishing the Reconquista and forming Spain would give you the "Rey Católico" bloodline. The requirements for that one should be easier to come come by, even though I have not yet fully decided on the details. It would also be a really strong bloodline.

However, I'm having more doubts on a bloodline for being a decisive actor in the Reconquista and achieving notable advances for the christian kingdoms. Something like the vanilla Reconquista or Cid bloodlines. That bloodline would be far inferior to the previously discussed.

What would be balanced requirements for that bloodline?
