Fixed other problems except Radowid and missing province. But I'm interested what you mean with this:

Can you be more specific, do you mean the dynasties with actually known CoAs, or that some dynasties just got different CoA.
Yep, dynasties with known CoAs now are using some others one. But I'm using version from 2014-02-03, before you messed with CoA. Also, I know that I should delete gfx from documents to fix such problem, but this time it didn't helped. Gonna check with latest version and then I will report.

Also, I'm curious about your characters policy.

I just started from Etcheverry, and then woah, a lot of fictional characters having some added traits in txt.

Shouldn't all non-canon characters have randomized stats?
Or it was already somewhat generated?

Also, how I can add specific trait to characters since specific year?

At the Battle of Brenna Daniel Etcheverry lost limb, so from specific year he should be maimed.
How to reflect it?

This time it's mostly to JonStryker, but thanks Talias for answers!

The characters were generated with traits using character generator tool, but we agreed that they should be removed for unimportant chars.

Fast report:

Change "Radowidowie" to "Radowid".
Radowidowie in polish is plural, so now it look just dumb. ;) It would be like writing "Karlings" in the name of the dynasty instead of "Karling".

There is no Est Haemlet next to Loc Muinne?
http://witcher.wikia.com/wiki/Est_Haemlet
First missing place, which I found. :D

Also you did some weird change, cause now I don't have special CoA for specific dynasties, when starting new game.

Temeria have ERE-decision for capital, so maybe do it for others to? :)
Redania is having it capital in Tretogor since Vestibor, so it justified enough imho.
Est Haemlet isn't on the map since eastern Kaedwen is a bit messed up. Loc Muinne is supposedly located next to the lake it is named after. Also Loc Muinne, Est Haemlet and Shaerrawedd were destroyed so putting them there as actual, functional cities is at least debatable. In the second game (for me) it seemed that Loc Muinne is mostly empty. Basically all three of them should be ruins and the Loc Muinne province renamed to something else. Maybe the lake should be moved east on the map.
People that read the last book Sezon burz (or any of the saga books) would be able to find many place names that aren't yet in. For example there is a description of the cities that you would visit while travelling to Thanedd. I'll have to rename some counties and maybe add 1-2 to reflect that information. But much more can be found by "native speakers" ;)

The names of "of Radowid" and "of Dezmod" are actually both plural forms. Are plural forms for dynasties in Polish something impossible? In German many dynasties are oftentimes addressed with plural names: "Welfen-Dynastie" -> house Welf; "Karolinger" -> Karling; Ottonen, ...
Dynasties have more than one member so why not address that group with a plural term?

talias changed most of the COAs, replacing them with prettier ones. Maybe some of the canon ones went missing during that but re-adding them won't be much of a problem ;)

Look at Piast dynasty in vanilla ck. : )

Are plural forms for dynasties in Polish something impossible?
No if you're naming specific dynasty. For example, Radowidowie.
But if you need surname for specific character, you cant use it.
And name dynasty in ck2 is mostly about surname so I adivce to change it.

After all, youre not using "Natalisowie" instead of "Natalis" or "Marvelowie" instead of "Marvel" and so on.

And yes, Shaerrawedd should be there too. I always thought Loc Muinne is only ruled by Elf, because there are is no implemented "colonisation". But good idea, add elvish ruins and possibility to rebuild them. :)

Technically I have used that (faux) Polish plural form for all the ruler named dynasties in Redania only. Which are Radowid(owie) and Abrad(owie). You can change it if you want but "of Radowid" or "Radowid" sound dull to me. I personally do not care about the people's full names much but like my dynastical names to be interesting.
What about Radowida, Abradida to be in line with the Trojden dynasty: http://witcher.wikia.com/wiki/Gedovius_Trojdenida ?

In my quest to improve the map and the name lists I tried to get information out of the newest Witcher book, Season of Storms (which isn't yet translated to English).
Without any knowledge of the Polish language I did the thing a programmer like me loves to do: Analyze the words, sort them and so on.

It would be nice if someone with language skills could take a look at the word list and tell me if he spots any names for people and places that I haven't yet spotted myself.

Thanks in advance!

I've jsut found your mod after a couple of months break from playing CK. Very good work, keep it up. I've experienced impossibility of starting a war even though I have a cb. As a king of Cidaris I fabricated claim to the count of Kerack title which is owned by the Driads. When I wanted to attack them, I noticed that I can't decleare war because my king 'must have a valid casus belli to declear a war'. I made some experiments - added claims via console to other driads' titles, including the Duchy of Brokilon. Didn't help. I also changed both religion and culture of Driads' ruler. It didn't help either. What am I supposed to do now? The situation ruins my game because the Driads conquered a nice chunk of terrain and I'm not allowed to connect two parts of my country into the one.

The thing is this: Dryads are supposed to sit tight and neither be attacked nor attack other people. But in the released version (0.1.304) Dryads had access to offensive CBs so they at times expanded. We took that away from them but you still won't be able to expand into the jungle, sorry.
This is fixed in the SVN version and will be in the next release. If I were you I'd just re-assign that province with the console (give_title c_... number)

Diary #1 - The magic

The first developement diary will talk about magic. The Witcher setting is full of magic in many different form - sorcerers, magic artifacts and wide variety of monster.

The mod has three kinds of magic users – sorcerers, druids and witches. Each are represented by a trait. All of them have access to short list of spells each suitable for specific situation. They can use the spells for themselves or for their liege if they are on the liege’s council as court magicians.

The sorcerer is the most powerful of magic user, in addition to immortality, they have access to largest variety of spells - heal, charm, protect, participate in battles or sieges.

The witches have the same healing spell as sorcerers and a curse, the curse is the only spell you can use directly on character do him harm.

The druids double as priests for the nature religion. They have access to just a single spell – healing, although it’s a bit different than the one others have, it can heal just the most minor of injuries and depressed and stressed traits.

The spell mechanics themselves are quite simple you can use the spell that targets yourself from decision menu or if you wish to target others from character menu plots.

When you use the spell you become drained, as long as you are drained you can’t use any spells and have decreased health.

Every child have a small chance to have magic talent, this chance is increased if any of his parents or grandparents are sorcerers. If the child displays magical talents it’s up to guardian to decide what to do with the child, there are many possibilities – teach the child yourself, leave the child in your court magicians care, give the child to druid circle, kill the child, send him to any of the magic academies to name the few.

If the child is sent to one of the magic magic academies he is considered disinherited and will stay in the academy until he becomes a sorcerer. Once fully fledged sorcerer he will be able to offer his services as court magician, try to get himself a tower or do other thing the sorcerers usually does. The sorcerers can they will sometimes move around - leave your court if they dislike you, move in or out of towers, leave academy or return to academy, so if you really want to keep your sorcerer keep good relationships or just properly land him.

I mentioned towers – they are special small counties that only sorcerers can hold, they generate no income and will have special building tree to make sorcerer even better. If the tower is not owned by sorcerer they are considered wilderness province, the wilderness mechanics will be expanded further to cover different types of areas - elven ruins and unsettled provinces.

Bought the Witcher 2 over the weekend sale on Steam and while it runs like crap on my laptop (though I really should have expected it to) I'm enjoying the game

Played as Foltest, died to Aryan in single combat so I played as his son who was getting taught by Geralt himself... Until Geralt left in the middle of the war. What a jerk.

It's promising. With a fully fleshed out magic system, more events and some better portraits (Last time I checked, Triss doesn't look like a old woman) and it can be great. Keep up the good work

Our portraits aren't as bad as you think. Sure, a BLC or CPR version for WitcherKings (like Diadochi kings has) would be nice.

But having sorceresses look old is not a mere oversight. It is somewhat of a vanilla problem:
If you add an immortality trait to someone who's already older than the old age threshold he will look old for all eternity.
People who gain such a trait ingame at a young age do however look young forever.

To prevent this you can make a separate graphical culture for them (which doesn't has the old age portraits included).
This wouldn't work with our current system that magical people are chosen from among the "normal" people. The engine doesn't allow to change a person's graphical culture by event.

If someone knows some neat trick to make this work don't hesitate to tell me :)

I'm open to adapting BLC to Witcher Kings, guys. Just tell me which culture should look like what and I'll try to do some (fairly limited) magic.

I kind of mixed up CPR and BLC when I originally wrote my above comment. Diadochi Kings has CPR as an optional module for those who own all the portrait DLC pacls.
But having BLC in the mod would be great. Every mod should have some Shaytana in it :D

All the Northern cultures + Nilfgaardian should be white, the ones in the middle aren't all that well defined and Haaks should (of course) be Mongolian.
As long as Temerians won't be black I am fine with it ;)
