Ok, a few things.
1. STOP talking about ATE and WAE and their connection. It only brings ungood.
2. I always liked the idea of a very pagan world. However, catholicism is still strong, with Italy, Northern and middle Spain, and parts of Poland being still catholic. Just as Greece, and some other stuff is still orthodox, and some stuff is protestant, and A LOT of places are muslim. I also plan some funny religions, like Children of Fuhrer (offensive)
3. I didnt want to use the vanilla map at first, since its... "a bit" geographically incorrect. And i mean.... Its a bitTM incorrect.
4. Dont worry, if you see a lot of focus on Poland. Thats just my nature taking place there.

Just to clarify: No "sourness" is going on. Someone said it was set in the other mod's setting so I was just letting them know it's no longer the case.
If you want a geographically correct map of Europe: There's plenty of things you could help with the European map we discussed on that other thread. I'd need correct barony names for the whole map (including Poland (duh)). Also positions, adjacencies and some tedious work regarding rivers.
Oh, yes, that map was quite amazing. Of course, borders would need to be redrawn for the post-apocalyptic scenario, since well, uhhh, you know. Also, id be glad to help with the barony and county names.
I think for this mod it would be good to go off divisions of provinces in the modern era, depending on the time the world ended (1950's to Now).
Also, France should be divided into separate realms based on culture. Occitania in the south, Brittany in the northwest, and the rest France. Also, I think it would be cool to have an Alpina Empire, encompassing the alps.

Here's the current Poland:

IMO it would be cool to have a Shadowrun-style approach, where cultures and cliches from various points in history are mashed together. So there could be Neo-Carthage and Neo-Rome (either alongside with the Neo-Pope, or the Pope BEING Neo-Rome), Neo-King Arthur and a Neo-Victorian England... stuff like that.
A suggestion if you want something highly bizarre, perhaps make Russia into a merchant empire that worships Karl Marx? I know this would be somewhat nonsensical, but a bunch of merchants worshiping the father of Communism as a deity would be hilarious. Possibly make the religious head be the head of the republic, and have the investiture = yes line in the religion script so that bishops give their taxes to the "State."
Im currently developing a map, while talking with my freind, Zidnaar, and were adding some radioactive fallouts around, as impassable zones, and Moscow (metro 2033), is now a bunch of weird road stuff, surrounded by fallout and then by the moscow province again Many, many people will right now hate me for what i dont to that map, tbh. Ill give you a screenie of the WIP:

I do like the nuclear irradiated areas. Maybe instead of impassable, it would have a heavy attrition penalty, along with chance of gaining radiation sickness if passing through, and making the 'ruler' a ruin like in GoT mod. But if not, impassable is fine.
Must ask, what is the impassable area at the Scotland-England border? Did someone create The Wall?

Looks like someone rebuilt one of the two Roman walls in that area. I can't remember which is which.
Hadrian's Wall. Some Northerner sometime in this apocalyptic future must have stumbled upon the ruins and went "I must restore it".
Also, theres a weird wall thingy in Ostpreussen And if you see it, there are some quite funny looking wastelands....
EDIT: Heres my plans - Moscow and berlin need to be redone, most nuclear fallout zones need to be redone. Africa is going to have biozones, created by the old nation in there, however theyre in constant civil wars, rebllions etc. For that wall between Scotland and England, i was planning to somehow make it passable by an event later in game, but i dont think its possible. What I also plan on doing, is making the borders in such a way, that no matter what you own, they always look not borde-gore-ish.

Awesome stuff l. I see Moscow is like Metro. Any plans on. Doing something similar to London, splitting it up into tiny provinces based on the routs of The Tube?
