BTW OrdepNM, is it possible to make the converter in such a way that a realm gets a different flag depending on religion? Most of the flags the Muslims get in vanilla converter seem more fitting for Christians than for the Muslims.

Yes, it is. It's on my to-do list tough honestly since it's merely a graphical issue it's abit low on it. Also currently I'm busy being cybr for the HIP team :p

I'll get to it eventually tough :)

No, feature. Historically, the azraquites and the murjites were basically terrorists who went around Arabia slaughtering people and burning stuff because they weren't muslim enough for their tastes. Thats also why they can't marry anyone but muslims, unlike other more tolerant muslims who can marry african pagans.

Qarmatians also have that feature IIRC, tough why exactly I no longer recall, cybr sent me a google doc file explaining this stuff for the converter but I since lost the link.

Now, aren't you glad you're playing an azraquite? :p

You probably get asked this a lot but figured I might as well too. Are you planning an SWMH compatible version of VIET Immersion? With the return of NBRT+, the SWMH map has really started to grow on me. But I love the stuff, like more ambitions, that comes with VIET Immersion. I find myself torn between two mods. :(

cybrxkhan, the creator and main modder of VIET, was doing the SWMH-compatible version but fell ill and is currently out of comission. When his health allows him to come back he will resume working on it. It's worth saying that our initial plan was to have the first version of HIP "celebrated" with VIET+SWMH compatibility, but unfortunately due to cybr's health problems and unforseen absence, we had to postpone that.

The portrait fixes do not seem to be working, many of my portraits are still blacked out? I replaced the cultures folder in common with the cultures folder in the fix but it made no difference. To test it I even downloaded a portrait pack to see if that culture became visible and they did! Any idea where I am going wrong?

You said you replaced the cultures folder, but did you also delete the .gfx files as outlined in the instructions?

He gave an update a couple pages back. The TL;DR is that he's getting better, but very slowly, and he doesn't know when he'll be back just yet.

Yes, I had the chance to talk to him yesterday for some important matter for HIP and that was pretty much the place where things are. We just gotta be patient.

have you thought of making the portrait pack a separate addon or something? some people like the other portrait mod and you cant use this mod if you want to use that one.

So for anyone who has gotten a good deal through a CK2 VIET game, (using all VIET modules, nothing else from HIP) has anyone else noticed that the Golden Horde is Finnish religion rather than Tengri? When they came in after the Ilkahnate I noticed that they started off as Finnish religion despite the Ilkahnate being Tengri. The result of this was that the two hordes went after another much more quickly than usual; not that I mind :p

Sure causes some odd borders for the Ilkahnate though:

Hello, I just installed this mod (and am fairly new to CK2 in general) and I have a few questions/issues:

1. Why does starting any war at all now cause you to lose 100 prestige and 50 piety? Is there a way I can turn this off?

2. I was exploring the various customization options and tried the "Change conversion rates" settings, which pops up an event that says "more options" and gives me 3 options to change the name of Carpathia. I'm guessing it's accidentally triggering one of the events from the "Choose realm names options" instead of the whatever it's supposed to trigger?

3. Whenever a new character is created with the addon on, they have a really long character ID and targeted console commands (eg; imprison [character ID]) don't work on them. Is there any way around this?

Hey, I think VIET's in good hands. It just would be better if you were free to work on the EU4 converter. ;)

Fair enough :p I do really want to go back to the converter, but if there's a difference between working in VIET and working in HIP, is that before HIP work was more predictable. Anyway, I'm hoping that after the next update I should be able to disengage from VIET abit more and focus on the converter.

have you thought of making the portrait pack a separate addon or something? some people like the other portrait mod and you cant use this mod if you want to use that one.

Only if cybr decides to. Like superskierpat said maybe cybr thinks it's important it stays in immersion (when he pretty much modulyfied everything else) so I don't want take that decision for him, not do I think it's urgent enough to warrant it.

Is it WAD for some religions, such as Buddhist and East African Pagan to only have four holy sites?

AFAIK yes, tough only cybr can say for sure.

So for anyone who has gotten a good deal through a CK2 VIET game, (using all VIET modules, nothing else from HIP) has anyone else noticed that the Golden Horde is Finnish religion rather than Tengri? When they came in after the Ilkahnate I noticed that they started off as Finnish religion despite the Ilkahnate being Tengri. The result of this was that the two hordes went after another much more quickly than usual; not that I mind :p

Sure causes some odd borders for the Ilkahnate though:

I'll check the pertinent files when I get home tough I really bloody doubt somehow tengrii got changed for suomenusko, that's not something you do by accident :blink: Just so we're clear, you're saying the mongol characters appear as finnic? What about the unlanded mongol characters?

Hello, I just installed this mod (and am fairly new to CK2 in general) and I have a few questions/issues:

1. Why does starting any war at all now cause you to lose 100 prestige and 50 piety? Is there a way I can turn this off?

2. I was exploring the various customization options and tried the "Change conversion rates" settings, which pops up an event that says "more options" and gives me 3 options to change the name of Carpathia. I'm guessing it's accidentally triggering one of the events from the "Choose realm names options" instead of the whatever it's supposed to trigger?

3. Whenever a new character is created with the addon on, they have a really long character ID and targeted console commands (eg; imprison [character ID]) don't work on them. Is there any way around this?

1. Balance changes, it's been like that forever and it's doubtful it's going away. Basically it slows down blobbing, warring etc, makes the game more realistic and less random. I don't think there's a customization option to take it out.

2. Have you dloaded HIP recently? That was a problem in the friday release but it should have been finished on that same evening.

3. That's WAD (working as desired). New, non historical characters always have a long id number rather than the smaller numbers of historical characters. Even vanilla behaves this way. I never had a problem using the console commands on non historical characters tough, but that's definitely not the mod's doing.
