When do the CTDs happen? (For instance, when you load into a new game, every time the game autosaves, after the Catholics win a Crusade, when you marry your daughters as a Zoroastrian, or just randomly all over the place, etc.)

If possible can you provide the error log? It's located in "Documents/Paradox Interactive/Crusader Kings II/logs", and make sure it's the error log from right after the CTD (if you load into the game again it will clear out the error log).

Sunset Invasion probably isn't causing issues, those things may appear in the error log but they're otherwise harmless.

Hmm... are you using VIET's music packs? If you're using the music modules, make sure you didn't accidentally put the readme or music info text files in the mod folder, those will cause random CTDs because the game tries to read those text files as code but they aren't code so it can't comprehend. I've had a few people have unexplainable CTDs before, and removing those offending files fixed things.

What do I need to do in order to form the Yazidi sheikdom? I don't see a decision for it and I can't create it even though I managed to reach 1000 piety. I hold Mosul and the Kingdom of Mesopotamia, so the event to form the Yazidi holy order has fired. Is it even possible at this point?

So I'm curious if there's a way to completely eradicate the Mediterranean portraits. I rather like some of the stuff that came with them (and I don't mind some of the things you've used elements of that pack for), but I'd like to have both spanish/italians and the greeks using the western portraits. Currently in the portrait options I only see one or the other.

According to this thread here, the Yazidi need to not be a heresy, so it'd be a vanilla thing, maybe. Otherwise you should be able to create it, I haven't changed the title from vanilla.

I remember a while back someone was working on a torture/execution flavor mod, and I was planning to integrate it once it got big enough... but eh, I can always throw in some sadistic events/event chains somewhere.

The Immersion module isn't compatible with SWMH just yet, but Cybr is working on that and from what he's said expects it to be out in December or so. Currently the Events and Traits modules are perfectly compatible with both together.

How about a torture decision (same as castrate,blind,etc) that starts the event, so we can torture specific prisoners.

Meneth has released a new version of Project Balance v3.3.4.7z

Updated to correspond with CKII 2.0.1 (non-beta)
Fixed Serbia being held by a Bolghar in its title history
Ghana is now playable in 867 (credit goes to jordarkelf)
Fixed the Kipchak horde disintegrating when starting a campaign (credit goes to jordarkelf)
Fixed some positioning issues (credit goes to jordarkelf)
Added custom icons for the Remove Title Revocation and Reduce Crown Levies factions, and for mending the Schism as a Catholic (credit goes to AnaxXiphos)
Shortened crown law descriptions to prevent/reduce text overflow
Applied the increased levy cost via a multiplier (new in CKII 2.0) rather than as direct maintenance. As a result, most units now cost a bit less retinue cap, while general maintenance is mostly the same
Increased the overall liege levy multiplier to 100% (from 75%)
Reduced the severity of liege levy drop-off based on dejure status (70%, 60%, 50%, 40% instead of 100%, 75%, 50%, 35%, 25%). Overall levies will be roughly the same for small rulers, and slightly higher for large rulers
Reduced the opinion bonus from technology to 8 (from 12/10)
Reduced the cultural flexibility modifier from technology to 30% (from 40%)
Tweaked opinion penalities from crown levies
Content no longer gives a bonus to vassal opinion
(Gender Equality) Fixed the strict requirements for Absolute Cognatic not being waived
Fixed it being possible for rulers unaffected by the Baqt to abolish it if they held one of the Baqt provinces

I wonder if VIET 1.5.1 is compatible with this.

Was using Winmerge to check out the difference in defines.lua between the old PB v3.3.3 and the current PB v.3.3.4

Now correct me if I am wrong, but the PB_VIET_Immersion also has a defines.lua and because PB_VIET_Immersion comes alphabetically before Project Balance in the mod list so PB_VIET_Immersion overrides PB's defines.lua right?

I was asking because I wanted to create my own defines.lua and override both PB and VIET. Hope everyone understood this...

Seems the Zhayedan decisions are still in VIET 1.5.1 so game still crashes when they are enacted. I am gonna try to delete the Zhayedan.txt decision and hopefully that will fix this.

Also is it possible to have a decision in the intrigue menu that goes to the next song, with so many new songs I doubt I have heard even a small percentage of them over vanilla.

I am having some trouble that I think links back to VIET. I just bought the game last week and I am playing with VIET and PB.
I finally managed to form the Kingdom of Ireland and later formed Wales. My king died and my kingdom fractured and primogeniture doesn't appear in my list of succession laws. Is this intentional? If so is there a way to enable it myself?
I spent literally my entire weekend learning to play and it just hurts that a full days worth of it just went down the drain, lol. I tried to find the answer myself but the search function wasn't very useful as the terms 'Ireland' and 'primogeniture' are so common. Thanks.

nordic portraits are blacked out,but i have the norse portraits dlc ...help pls?

Make sure the norse portraits DLC is selected in the launcher. Otherwise, try deleting "mod/VIET Immersion/interface/portraits_norse.gfx" and see if that fixes htings.

How about a torture decision (same as castrate,blind,etc) that starts the event, so we can torture specific prisoners.

Should be compatible with the newest PB, but to be safe stick to the older Pb for now - I'll release a compatch of sorts later today.

As for the Zhayedan looks like I forgot that for PBVIET.

And for the songs... sadly that's not possible. All you can do is type in newsong into the console a gazillion times.

Yeah, that's WAD, Irish don't have access to primogeniture in VIET to represent their historical political organization. I suggest switching to tanistry or elective.

I thought VIET made Yazidi it's own religion, or is it still defined as a Sunni heresy by game mechanics?

Oh... ou are right... could be a vanilla bug, though, I tried it myself and couldn't form the title.

Sunset Invasion probably isn't causing issues, those things may appear in the error log but they're otherwise harmless.

Hmm... are you using VIET's music packs? If you're using the music modules, make sure you didn't accidentally put the readme or music info text files in the mod folder, those will cause random CTDs because the game tries to read those text files as code but they aren't code so it can't comprehend. I've had a few people have unexplainable CTDs before, and removing those offending files fixed things.

Disabled the music, I didn't see anything wrong with it, not info texts mixed in. Even with it disabled it will crash on character screen or 2-3 months ingame time.

Okay! So I'm not all too far into my CK2 game, but I do have something I want to share

My kingdom is all up and in place. I did notice however a small error on the Religion page for West African Pagans. Otherwise, things have been great so far.

On another note however, I have noticed two things while playing with the 2.0 patch. Have AI Muslims learned how to control decadence? The Idrisid ruler above me never goes above 30%, even after changing rulers. It's kinda scary now as they outright border me and have over 10,000 troops now.

Also, don't West African Pagans get Defensive Bonuses/Attrition by being a pagan? I've had the Idrisids come down to me once or twice and I've never seen any sort of defensive bonus come into play for me.
