Hey AnaxXiphos, do you believe you could take a gander at the icons in Ancient Religions if you ever find the time?

Sure, I'll take a look at some point. No promises, of course, especially with finals and holidays the next month or so.

On related subject, here are the religion icons for 1.5.0 VIET:

Let me know if you'd prefer different colors for something. I wasn't sure about making the Gnostic icon gray, though that seems to be the most common version. (If you look closely, I actually compromised, as it's very slightly blue.)

I've also got a TON of the traits done, but I want to finish a couple more before I'll have that download ready.

Great, no pressure :)

And good job on those icons, wow!

Edit: Should Cathar priests all be called Bishops? I was doing a little research, but it seems like there were no archbishops, patriarchs or primates.

Yeah, I wonder if thats the reason Cathar Temple holders are called Counts. IMO if possible, Cathars should be like Muslims: no wrong holding type on Temple Holdings.

Agreed, those icons look fantastic!

I wonder too if they should all be called Bishops. In the case of them not having any sort of hierarchy, perhaps they could all be called bishops. However, after a quick Wikipedia search, here's what came up --

It has been alleged that the Cathar Church of the Languedoc had a relatively flat structure, distinguishing between perfecti (a term they did not use, instead bonhommes) and credentes. By about 1140 liturgy and a system of doctrine had been established. It created a number of bishoprics, first at Albi around 1165 and after the 1167 Council at Saint-Félix-Lauragais sites at Toulouse, Carcassonne, and Agen, so that four bishoprics were in existence by 1200.
In about 1225, during a lull in the Albigensian Crusade, the bishopric of Razes was added. Bishops were supported by their two assistants: a filius maior (typically the successor) and a filius minor, who were further assisted by deacons. The perfecti were the spiritual elite, highly respected by many of the local people, leading a life of austerity and charity. In the apostolic fashion they ministered to the people and travelled in pairs.

Not sure if there's something there to go off for you, Pat.

I'm not absolutely sure the House of David option is significantly better than the already existing version, but it's an option if you want to use it. Also, it's a sneaky way to get the old VIET Jewish icon back into the game. More or less the same goes for the Kayser-i Rum option, not absolutely sure it's better, but there ya go.

I've read that as well, but I feel like Perfecti was more of a way of life than an actual position, so maybe Cybr could turn it into a trait for cathar characters.

I'm thinking of having Bishop, Elder, Grand Elder, King-Perfecti, Emperor-Perfecti? Or everyone is called a Bishop.

Using VIET+PB+SWMH
I have the same popup about missing Asset...

Immersion doesn't work with SWMH, right?
So i have checked Viet Asset, Viet Traits, Viet Events, Viet Music, PB, PB+SWMH and SWMH in the launcher.

I am getting the popup everytime i start a new game or load a save game after a couple of month ingame...
But it doesn't seem to cause any trouble.

edit:
everything the latest versions...no betas

Someone else said he had a similar issue, so I'm looking into whether something's bugged with that event that should only pop up if you don't have VIET Assets.

Just a few bug reports:

Made note of all that.

Oh, and a small bit of possible flavour - before the Magyars came into the Pannonian Basin, they were in the Crimea. Their ruler was a Grand Prince and the principality - Etelköz. Therefore, you could change the title of the holder of k_magyar to Grand Prince and make it be a Grand Principality, and then, you have two choices:

2. Relocalise k_magyar into Etelköz.

First option is more desirable for me (and I'll do that), I'm not too much a fan of overly localized titles when a relatively well-known established localization is available.

I think "Bishop, Elder, Grand Elder, King-Perfecti, Emperor-Perfecti" would be best. Perfecti weren't exactly like Christian clergy per se, but I think we could consider them more or less the closest analogue we have to that. There may be some similarity to the Manichean Elect, who were essentially the Manichean clergy and had much stricter restrictions compared to normal folks, e.g. no meat, no sex, etc., and they were the ones who usually had important religious and spiritual roles, so I assume the Cathar Perfecti would be similar.

I might write Perfecti or Head Perfecti instead of Bishop for flavor, but have you considered opening the vegetarian trait to more religions?

In the current version of VIET, the vegetarian trait is available to anyone who is in the Eastern, Vedic, or Gnostic religious group (i.e. Buddhist, Hindu, and Manichean respectively), as well as the Qarmatians, Cathars, and Bogomilists.

Oh, I forgot to mention. I also included an updated Vegetarian icon. It's basically identical, except it fixes an issue with the previous version, namely that the entire icon was ever-so-slightly transparent.

I was wondering why that extra vegetarian icon was in there...

Oh, well cool then :p

Qarmatians are particularly hilarious, since they can raid and have access to elective succession and stuff. Republican vegetarian terrorists, ahoy!

I apologize if this has been answered elsewhere, but I've been looking in the 1.5.0 download for the Customizations Options folder (mentioned in the first posts), but can't find anything. Am I missing something in the download?

The customization options are now a separate download, they're right below the main download link here.

Pb+Viet when I fabricate a claim I seems to get three option rather than just two as usual.

Really? That's odd, I don't think I've changed the option. Do you have a screenshot?
