Yeah it's improperly linked. You can launch the event in the console with event customization.39.The 'Change Conversion Rates' in-game customisation option brings me to the final 'choose name for Carpathia' decision options. Some of the other options that are said to be removed in the changelog (as I understand it) are still there; are the in-game customisation options working as designed?
Some unstructured thoughts on faith, mainly regarding interfaith marriages.
Thanks for giving me an idea here, Nyrael! But Ban definitely should not be a province ruler here. Zvonimir was co-ruler of Croatia even before Petar Krešimir's death and since then word Ban was used for those who ruled over Croatia (often the entire country). In other words, in Croatia it was a title used for highest tier rulers that were not Kings.
And I think his demesne was called Banovina.
I made some changes to the succession laws which I hope you'll adopt in VIET.
Celts and Anglo-Saxons cannot pick Gavelkind and Seniority at the count level and above, and can only pick Primogeniture, Ultimogeniture, or Elective if they are kingdoms or empires.
Furthermore Tanist realms are unable to switch to agnatic-cognatic or cognatic gender succession as long as they have Tanist law, and any agnatic-cognatic or cognatic realm switching to Tanist law automatically becomes Agnatic. There is no historical case of agnatic-cognatic or cognatic Tanist realms.
After 1150 normal rules apply to them, and Bretons are also excluded as they were Celts who did not use Tanist law.
Download here.
And since I put it in the potential only, you can still have realms scripted to begin with Primogeniture like 867 Wessex![]()
d_ibadi.txt lines 3 and 12 and k_oman.txt line 2 also use law = succ_elective which probably should be law = succ_turkish_succession
I seem to get a CTD with every exit of a campaign. Doesn't matter whom as or which date. Just CTD's upon resign.
Just running the normal combos.
Hmm... 1 time out of 9 it did not CTD upon resign. Still strange and possibly worth checking into to see if it can be replicated.
I'd call it a "Culture/Religion specific mechanic" myself. Celts should not be using succession laws which historically never existed. :glare:
Use succ_feudal_elective or succ_open_elective then, succ_elective is not a lawThat's WAD, the Ibadi Caliphate and King and Emperor-tier titles held by the Ibadi have elective succession, to represent Oman's tradition of having their (Ibadi) be elected.
Use succ_feudal_elective then, succ_elective is not a law![]()
Just a little bit of info:@sBolshevik and my other Slavic-loving friends: My current set-up was based on someone's suggestion, but I forgot who. Anyhow for the south slavic title localizations I could do a variant of Nyrael's suggestion, as thus:
Baron - Lord/Lordship (Knez sounds a bit unnecessary to me if it just translates straight-up to Lord)
Count - Župan/Župa
Duke - Ban/Banate
I get really bad spam with the VIET CK2+ modules (1.5.0) with the latest CK2+ version (2.05.2). No other submods in CK2+ are activated.
All I get is spam about the Hansa being formed :/ See image here,

The event itself is under "republic_trade_events.txt" in the CK2+ folder. I should note that the VIET modules do not replace or edit that file but I only see the problem when I play CK2+ with Viet.
Just a small FYI, jordarkelf, it's not really that. It's more of who fell into the Frankish sphere and who fell into the Byzantine sphere. The Coastal Serbs were Catholics. Did that automatically make them Croats? No. (that is, unfortunately, something many people here answer with "Yes.").Yee-ouch. While I agree that the only difference between a Serb and a Croat in the early parts of CK2 is whether or not their priest listens to Rome or to Constantinople, that'll not go over well with the Balkan nationalist crowd.
Just a little bit of info:
Having Župan is inconsistent with the rest of the game (except for Trgovište in Rashka).
Zupan or Zhupan might be better.
Of course, the problem then comes in the title "Grand Prince", as Grand Prince is just Veliki Župan, only translated to English.
Updated earlier post,
Well, Ban only became used a bit later in the timeframe in Serbia, but it was used, so it could be used. Still in favour of using Veliki Zupan, although it might go a bit out of the "Flavourful, but comprehensible" which you normally look for.So Zupan instead of Župan then... the other stuff you think is fine, then?
