Hmm.. Now that is very weird. I think it might be caused by one of SoA's new events that is only coded to account for vanilla religions for whatever reason. This may not prove too relevant, but I assume you're running PB+VIET, right, and how many years have you played with before those events start appearing?

This is with PB+VIET right? I do recall vaguely that I was able to access them in VIET, but maybe I didn't test all of the possible circumstances well enough.

Correct, and correct. Running PB+VIET

The issue with the noreligion faith may be vanilla, if this bug report is accurate. I'm suspecting the system that keeps tracks of heresy vs orthodoxy provinces doesn't account for the possibility that none of the provinces in the world are of a certain religion, heresy or parent religion. Or it's just bugged somehow.

As to the latter, I'll look into that.

Somehow I find that hilarious. Anyhow I'll look into that. Are the Asian Champions available in other Dutch realms as well, you know?

I get really bad spam with the VIET CK2+ modules (1.5.0) with the latest CK2+ version (2.05.2). No other submods in CK2+ are activated.

All I get is spam about the Hansa being formed :/ See image here,
http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=198130355

The event itself is under "republic_trade_events.txt" in the CK2+ folder. I should note that the VIET modules do not replace or edit that file but I only see the problem when I play CK2+ with Viet.

Is it intentional that Brugge is a de jure one province duchy? This is particularly weird in 867 scenario which doesn't have the Brugge Republic at the start.

---

Oran is not a playable republic because b_oran is missing. And b_sabaricid is set to the wrong dynasty ID (should be 1000091721). Fixed files here, put in VIET Immersion/history/titles.
I also fixed the inexplicable error where a random Somali Patrician is the first leader of the Oran republic about 100 years before his birth, now it's the proper guy again (d_oran).

---

Whoever did that Yemen Republic is an idiot, so many errors in the files that all the claims of the Rassid Sayyids on the Shiite Caliphate are missing. Fixed files here, put in VIET Immersion/history/characters.

---

And it seems I forgot to give the Amalfi Patricians cities which all other Patricians do have, so the Republic is still too weak. Remedied with this file.

---

Just to be diligent... a changed Hamburg setup so it also starts with a city and a trade post for every Patrician. That makes all republics in 1066 equal. Changes here.

---

I found the cause of that silly error.log entry [internationalizedtext.cpp:753]: TEXT ERROR: The tag for $™t need another source of court intrigue.
Replace the 'smart quote' in VIET_Assets\Latinokratia_localisation.csv on line 40 with an apostrophe ' and it goes away.

----

In VIET_Assets\Latinokratia_localisation.csv on line 47 the ; is missing after tag EVTDESCLatinEmpire.7
Same file, on line 66 EVTOPTBLatinEmpire.17 should be EVTOPTALatinEmpire.17

----

d_ibadi_holy_order has no localisation

d_swahili_fleet has no localisation either

---

VIET_Immersion\history\titles\k_england.txt line 4 has law = succ_elective, should be law = succ_feudal_elective of course.
d_hereford.txt line 34, d_norfolk.txt line 4, d_northumberland.txt line 4 ditto.
Or perhaps succ_tanistry?

d_ibadi.txt lines 3 and 12 and k_oman.txt line 2 also use law = succ_elective which probably should be law = succ_turkish_succession

I seem to get a CTD with every exit of a campaign. Doesn't matter whom as or which date. Just CTD's upon resign.
Just running the normal combos.

Hmm... 1 time out of 9 it did not CTD upon resign. Still strange and possibly worth checking into to see if it can be replicated.

Just a few minor gripes:
1. Using the title "Ban" for Croatian and Serbian Counts is a bit strange. To start off, there was only one single Ban in the Kingdom of Croatia before it came into a union with Hungary. Secondly, the title Prince (a translation of Župan, just as Grand Prince is a translation of Veliki Župan) fits better into the hierarchy (having Grand Princes but no Princes is a bit strange, no?).
2. Ragusa being independent in 1066 screws over Dioclea. It's split into two halves, and is a third weaker, making it even easier for them to be stomped.
3. Lastly, the traveling ambition is unlocalised.

And why are there baklavas literally everywhere? :p

I thought it was used for dukes?

And it feels more flavorful than duke or prince, in my pinion at least.

It's used for counts. Grand Prince is used for Dukes, as it should be.

It may feel more flavourful, but that doesn't make it a better alternative.
I have used Ban for Croatian dukes.
Well, while it could technically be used, the Ban in Croatia was the king's most trusted advisor. The Bans of Bosnia are an exception, which is why I made only Bosnian culture use Ban for Duke in "The Ban's Charter".

True, but Zvonimir was Kresimir IV's Ban of Slavonia before he became king, and in that regard he is indeed represented as duke of Slavonia in CK II.

Well, they were related, and he was Ban in the sense of being a ruler of a province and not just in the sense of having an honorific title. But yes, I get your point in general. :)

The biggest problem is the fact that there were so many titles which were generally equal: Ban, Voivode, Grand Prince, etc.

Secondly, the title Prince (a translation of Župan, just as Grand Prince is a translation of Veliki Župan) fits better into the hierarchy (having Grand Princes but no Princes is a bit strange, no?).

Don't know for Serbian, but I think the Croatian titles should be the following:
Baron - Knez (word often used for cities and small holdings... after all, it basically just means Lord)
Count - Župan (županija is a County after all so it would be more fitting as a County than Barony) or Grof
Independent Duke - Knez
Vassal Duke - Ban (there was only one, but I think thats because Zvonimir was the only noble whom a Croatian King wanted to give such authority (due to being his heir and all)). Alternatively, it could be Vojvoda (rulling over Vojvodstvo) which is word we usually use when translating word Duke (but AFAIK was not used by Croatian Dukes)
Vassal King - not sure, but I would go with Ban or something like Great Ban

But Ban definitely should not be a province ruler here. Zvonimir was co-ruler of Croatia even before Petar Krešimir's death and since then word Ban was used for those who ruled over Croatia (often the entire country). In other words, in Croatia it was a title used for highest tier rulers that were not Kings.
And I think his demesne was called Banovina.

BTW, can someone help me and say where I can edit this myself?

You need to edit one of the existing localization (.csv) files or create a new one yourself, and then enter the text there.

For example, I use:

Code:
duke_croatian;Ban;Ban;Ban;;Ban;;;;;;;;;x
duke_female_croatian;Banitsa;Banitsa;Banitsa;;Banitsa;;;;;;;;;x
duchy_of_croatian;Banate of;Banate de;Banate von;;Banate de;;;;;;;;;x
