I was thinking... You know how when you tutor a child they can gain better swordsmanship traits?
That doesn't really make sense for girls does it? Why not instead 'Under your tutorship, X has gained <level> courtmanship' that provides better diplomacy rather than martial.
Just a thought I had whilst playing.![]()
A few more questions.
Screenshot for these?
Why remove this one specific adjacency?
Clarification on how this will work?
i think you forgot to rename Scotland to Pictland when controlled by Picts

Would it be possible to add in the ability to have someone(possibly just via event) train your child in swordsmanship regardless of who you pick as guardian? It doesn't make much sense to me that a noble child would not get some basic fighting skills even when not getting a strictly martial educator.Good idea. I'll make a note of that in my notes.

Personally I feel this isn't necessary if the incredibly stable Empire of Abyssinia forms but this is really easy to change if I want so no problem here. The map I use is already so altered that pretty much every time I update to the next VIET version I have to copy-paste all my changes and make a few tweaks to make my stuff compatible with the new stuff (mostly in the localisation files and in landed_titles.)Armies cross from Yemen to Ethiopia a bit too frequently in my opinion. Basically to discourage things like Yemen going into Somalia and vice versa.
You know, if the Kingdom of Rus was still available as a Titular title for only Russian culture that might make sense while preventing a mega kingdom from forming under the Norse or Mordvins. The 4 new kingdoms that will be created most certainly won't all be Russian considering the cultures that Ruthenia and Rus covered in Vanilla. Maybe make Ruthenia available as a Titular title as well? Or perhaps if you control the kingdoms that Ruthenia or Rus was split from you get the options to unite the 2-3 crowns into one? Haha, might as well just split the giant Empire of Rus into the Russian and Ruthenian Empires and divvy the new kingdoms between the two. Just ideas I'm throwing at the wall.Whoops, that shouldn't be there, The Kingdom of Rus has been removed, as previously discussed, so that change is obsolete (I think it was one of my previous ideas for dealing with Rus that I forgot about and left there)

Russia and Ruthenia were identical things until the Mongols. (Afterwords, they diverged on different paths hence the division until today.)
In fact, they actually mean the same thing. Russia is Rus' in Greek, while Ruthenia is Rus' in Latin.

I love the mod, but I have a question, when I use the Viet traits and events for CK2+, i've noticed that the trait icons don't show up and are just the martial swords, is there a way to fix that?

Great. Looking foward to that update in the future.I'll probably have something a bit more complex for the Russian title set-up when I get to a Slavic-themed update that may involve some titular titles.
Decadence breakup?

Well, I guess I overlooked that, I read you use it for all versions and used it when I played Viet before, but I wasn't sure if I needed it for CK2+'s version, my mistake.
Thats actually vanilla, the culture file has a dukes_are_kings line that makes every independent dukes of that culture appear to have a King title, whilst still mainting duke level mechanics.First of all I must say I love this mod.
I only have 2 issues, however I will post the second issue later when i can upload a pic as I am currently at work.
Now when I used to run CKII with In Novo Iure: Dynamic de jure structure and improved cultural toponymy, I ruled as a duke in a Norwegian Duchy (petty Kingdom) called a Jarldom and the title given to my character was Jarl Styrkar I of Ostedtland, as the Jarldom I ruled in was Ostedtland.
Now I run the same Duchy in a new game, but this time I have the following mods In Novo Iure: Dynamic de jure structure and improved cultural toponymy, all CK2+ mods (except hardcore) and of course VIET (including zzz Traits). The problem I have now is Styrkar now has the title of King of the Petty Kingdom of Ostedtland, which I believe to be a unrealistic title. Besides I preferred the title Jarl as it had a scandinavian taste to it.
So now I am wondering is this because of a file in VIET or possibly CK2+ that is changing the title from Jarl to King. Is there a way to revert it back? if so how?
p.s. I have also posted this in the CK2+ thread
Is it in Immersion?This mini-mod here: http://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/showthread.php?707550-Decadence-Breakup-(minimod)
Basically increases the likelihood that vassals would break off from new decadence invasion successors successfully, as the chances of that happening in vanilla aren't as high as it should be.

Slavic themed pack? I think I got some Slavic-themed music in my EU3 folder and youtube playlist I could find. Are there any restrictions on what kind of music can be included music?
