Much appreciated! That being said, the only thing I'm truly lacking now is some of the awesome portrait changes that go with Immersion. Anglo-Saxon portraits were my favorite. :D Gonna go see now if the portrait pack he did as a separate mod is compatible.

Just read about the Mazdakites. Wow socialists in the dark ages :blink:, I swear the more I look into Zoroastrianism and is heresy's the more interested I become, anyone know where I can get a good book on Zoroastrianism ;).

I dunno any books, but a good place to start would be the Encyclopedia Iranica, which is a free, online encyclopedia focusing mainly on the greater Iranian world and related regions, such as the Persian imprint in places like India and Central Asia. I found it an extremely useful resource while doing my research on the Manichaeans, but it is useful for a lot of other things too - while the articles are written by specialists in the field, it is overall relatively simple to understand (at least for a non-specialist) but nevertheless quite informative and comprehensive.

Just installed all the CK2+ versions. One slight issue i am having is that the new traits are all showing with the same symbol and the text is being written like_this with an underscore. Any help with that?

It appears you did not install VIET Assets - in case ou missed it in the installation instructions, it is in the required modules folder. If you have installed it, try deleting and reinstalling it again, ther installation may not have worked and make sure it is selected in the launcher.

CPR should be compatible. If you're running it with PB+SWMH you may want to use the hotfix al3xytp made, although it appears you've already seen that in the CPR thread.

hi i have just discovered this mod goes with my favorite mod PB and am enjoying it alot, i was wondering if you'd ever consider adding anglo-norse melting pot, there is a fair chance of this occuring in two major start dates 867 and 1066 stamford bridge, it could add alot of opportunity for rp and immersion, anyway i try to pitch this to all modders, so just couldnt resist asking xD

My reasons for being reluctant to add it in are basically the same as Meneth's, that the Anglo-Saxons were already pretty Scandinavianized... but that would only apply to the 1066 start. I could see the merits of an Anglo-Norse melting pot for the 867 start, however, given that there wasn't much Scandinavian influence yet; having it in the 867 start and not the 1066 start also makes it easier for me to handle any possible changes to the history code. You may want to give Meneth a gentle reminder if he has forgotten about it, regardless, on a related note.

I'm also iffy about this, I mean if you play with the swmh map as a saxon, it already feels almost like if you were playing in scandinavia.

My professor(who speceializes in Iranian history) did mention the Mazdakites here and there and how the Soviets loved them. Interesting fellows, anyhow.

I can probably throw in a few Mazdaki themed events for the Zoroastrian update just for the lulz because they are really weird, if the sources on them are to be believed.

That'd be nice, but just being able to restore the faith and act in all the ways as Orthodox Zoros would be really really nice :)

Indeed. I should have enough time to integrate most of MZ for 1.4.0, so that should be enough to satisfy the Zoroastrian fans, at least until I get to a proper Zoroastrian/Iranian-themed update.

Liking the new changes cyber. Glad that the Aden duchy thing was finally fixed. I actually went ahead and removed all instances where you got weird duchies in vanilla where random non-adjacent lands would be part of another duchy. Another case of this is the Duchy of the Isles. The Isle of Man is considered a part of it even though it is not adjacent. This may be intentional for historical reasons but in vanilla it is just odd as bell in terms of gameplay.

Another weird thing I found was this interesting relationship between the duchy of Brugge and the duchy of Flanders. Both duchies have the same default capitol set to Brugge which I find strange. Maybe this was the devs way of making Brugge be part of another duchy when it's not being a 1 county duchy/Republic like Venezia but in terms of gameplay general weirdness occurs as a result (like how the duchy of Brugge rarely becomes de-jure part of another kingdom through de-jure drift since you need to be a patrician to create the title and AIs almost never create trade republics as vassals).

Nice work! Looking to start a new game with PB/SWMH and I also wanted to integrate some VIET into it. (I know PB/SWMH and now VIET has updated to 1.111 recently so hooray there :D)

But what I wanted to do is ask if the VIET modules, Events & Traits, work alongside PB and SWMH? I know the other modules like defines/immersion/etc won't work.

Liking the new changes cyber. Glad that the Aden duchy thing was finally fixed. I actually went ahead and removed all instances where you got weird duchies in vanilla where random non-adjacent lands would be part of another duchy. Another case of this is the Duchy of the Isles. The Isle of Man is considered a part of it even though it is not adjacent. This may be intentional for historical reasons but in vanilla it is just odd as bell in terms of gameplay.

I believe the Isle of Man being part of it is a vanilla thing.

Another weird thing I found was this interesting relationship between the duchy of Brugge and the duchy of Flanders. Both duchies have the same default capitol set to Brugge which I find strange. Maybe this was the devs way of making Brugge be part of another duchy when it's not being a 1 county duchy/Republic like Venezia but in terms of gameplay general weirdness occurs as a result (like how the duchy of Brugge rarely becomes de-jure part of another kingdom through de-jure drift since you need to be a patrician to create the title and AIs almost never create trade republics as vassals).

Adding the de jure "Duchy" of Brugge was a VIET thing, I couldn't really figure out a way of adding in the Republic of Brugge otherwise without having people swallow it within a year or two. (Granted, it tends to get swallowed up quickly anyways (though if it survives it becomes a monster in my test games), but at least as it current is it has a better chance of survival)

Nice work! Looking to start a new game with PB/SWMH and I also wanted to integrate some VIET into it. (I know PB/SWMH and now VIET has updated to 1.111 recently so hooray there :D)

But what I wanted to do is ask if the VIET modules, Events & Traits, work alongside PB and SWMH? I know the other modules like defines/immersion/etc won't work.

Events and Traits should work fine, yes.

You remember which files you changed? Would make it so much easier to update :p

Honestly don't remember most of the changes to the 1.111 patch, but the most important ones would be PB's fixes to some of the religious CBs that were bugged in the previous version of PB.

btw, look at the one-on-one in battle events, they have killed off a few too many rulers of mine(They were Norse vikings :p but I still think they should be tweaked ever so slightly down a bit.)

The one-on-one battle events are a PB thing (from the New Duel Engine), unfortunately, you'll have to bring that up with Meneth. I've had quite a few people tell me and/or Meneth that, though, so one more voice would definitely help. :p
