Check out the new first page picture thingy (what are they called?) for the new Finnish Pagan themed update:
Bye bye West African themed first page picture thingy.
And here's the tentative changelog for 1.3.6. I'm probably missing a few things you've guys suggested and I haven't found a proper fix for the Republic of Iceland bug yet (otherwise I'll just re-add the entire thing in):
That wouldn't be too bad a solution but as you say it really given what I know with the code it has to be all or nothing, and a half-measure will only lean strongly towards one way or another.
Ah, I see, that makes sense.
That's odd. I thought they would default to the Muslim portraits but guess not. Out of curiosity, are you using the vanilla or the PB version of VIET? Anyhow to temporarily fix that you'll just need to change one line. Go to "[PB] VIET Immersion/common/cultures" and open up altaic.txt.
Find the following lines:
Change the highlighted "turkishgfx" to "muslimgfx". That should be it.
I've done some further quick research and you appear to be correct (reading other Wikipedia articles as well as that main Voivode article itself as it elaborates further), or at the least it appears to be vaguer than I expected. In other regions such as Transylvania it was definitely used as a title of a ruler. What I'm confused about however is that on Wikipedia it also discusses the Voivodeships as territorial units. So historically in Poland, was there both a feudal lord and the appointed Voivode for a region, or just the latter, or am I missing something here?
Anyhow I'll also ask my Polish friend for a second opinion to see what his suggestions are, I'll assume it'd be something similar but a second opinion is always nice.

Just spitballing, but maybe the check could be whether any provinces in each of the realm's duchies are Christian, i.e. at least one province per duchy must be Christian before another Holy War can be called?
Hmm, maybe not. It just that with, how converting works, any all-or-nothing check is going to be a half-measure.
That wouldn't be too bad a solution but as you say it really given what I know with the code it has to be all or nothing, and a half-measure will only lean strongly towards one way or another.
I moved nearly all the checks to the CBs themselves when Paradox made that possible. Only title requirements can't be displayed yet.
Ah, I see, that makes sense.
I have deleted the turkish.gfx file in order that they use the Muslim portraits but they use the Mongol dlc instead.

I cannot speak for other countries but it wasn't and isn't used that way in Poland, where every ruler was either a King or known as Ksiaże (Prince, Duke). I read the wikipedia article on Voivode both in English and in Polish and the author(s) seems to be engaged in a bit of original research (?) by trying to equal it with the Duke/Herzog. In Poland, it was obviously a separate, appointed office that had little to do with being a territorial ruler.
Anyhow I'll also ask my Polish friend for a second opinion to see what his suggestions are, I'll assume it'd be something similar but a second opinion is always nice.
