Mod usage

I've decided to try some of the mods available here. What I (and quite a few other noobs) would like to know is how to run & play a mod? BTW. I've downloaded Generic Mod Enabler.

Most of them must be installed on a copy of your DD or DDA.

True, most mods require Doomsday, or Doomsday armageddon to play. As far as instillation, some mods are better designed than others. Some of the better mods have installers included that will make the process pretty easy. Some however, will require you to manually extract the files into the correct folders. A simple word of caution, tried and true, back up any file before you mod it.
