They could all benefit from the following:
potential = {
OR = {
race = culture1
race = culture2
etc.
}
}
where culture1, culture2 etc. are cultures of this race
For example:
dragon = {
potential = {
OR = {
race = red_dragonflight
race = green_dragonflight
race = blue_dragonflight
race = black_dragonflight
...
}
}
}

and birth = 10000
Awesome! If you dont mind me asking, I'm still learning scopes and things so I'm not 100% sure what this does. Could I get a quick rundown?

The potential means that only characters who match the conditions within the potential block can get the trait randomly.
OR means that the entire block evaluates as TRUE/YES if any one condition is true. By listing all of those cultures, it means that any one of those cultures will allow the trait to appear randomly for that character. birth = 1000 means that it is practically guaranteed to be given to any character that passes the potential block on birth.

I highly recommend that you make this change to the traits as well, otherwise random humans might get the Orc trait on birth ;)

OR means that the entire block evaluates as TRUE/YES if any one condition is true. We were dispensing with the potential by making them random = no. But now that you say it, the birth = 1000 might actually work in giving the traits to randomly generated traits.

I wonder if characters created by event can get random traits on top or the ones you script them with....

I never was doing that. I briefly joined the team to work on religions and events (where most of my experience lies) but was unable to make any real contributions due to Real Life™ (which is also why I've not made substantial updates to Ancient Religions in a while).

I think it restricts the traits to certain ethnicities. At least that's what it should do. The birth line should give the trait to every character generated with those ethnicities. So if the RD character has a human ethnicity, only the human trait is availiable in RD.

I have two questions.

How far will the timeline go?
Will there be any legit Burning Legion invasions?
Bookmarks for:
Arathi Troll Wars
War of Three Hammers

Second War
Third War
Age of Adventurers

And if we can get the scripted events for the BL invasions, yes, likely the kind that the Horde and Scourge did.

This mod is looking fantastic!
I noticed that the new Twilight Highlands from Cataclysm were left out. Is this a design decision? Also, what's up with Cult of Azshara in eastern Loch Modan/Badlands?

TwiHigh are present, just not as ridiculously massive as they are in cata. And this screenshot is of The Arathi Troll Wars era, where everything south of Arathor has zero background to work from. So we've filled it in with monster nomads, gnolls, murlocs, kobolds and the like. In this case, that area is full of Naga. The choice to include Naga was made to give the monster races a bit of variety. The Naga certainly existed by then and they are known to be out and about, so I figured it wouldnt hurt to include them. Later bookmarks where we have significantly more reference material will see these locations shifting to the more familiar things that people know/love.

And on the case of Naga, maybe they should have some sort of feudal government? Since they tended to stay around the ruins of the Kaldorei Empire. Even though the new maps show that the Kaldorei had no influence over the area, I'm sure you could work something in.

I hope that will be great mod xD
And i have some questions:
- There will be more continents than Azeroth? Or maybe it's plan for future?
- Monsters will be full playable? If yes, there will be option to change goverment? I would like to create gnoll empire xD
- Magic will be something more than character traits?

Current design plans:
- If we release 1.0.0, and feel that its really solid, and players like it, and we feel like we want to keep modding, then yes, Kalimdor and even maybe Northrend are possibilities.
- Originally I wanted Monster races to be nonplayable areas that were super dangerous to player realms. Currently though, after hearing how many people were interested in kobold or murloc play, I've gone back to being on the fence about it. If we can create compelling content for it, I'm fine with allowing players to play as monsters if they so choose. Mechanically how they stand in our 0.0.1 version is nearly identical to standard nomads.
- We don't have a specific system for magic just yet but it will likely be tied to events.
