Fixed the download links on the front page. Sorry about that.

Regards to the Mongols invading India, though there were attempts, they never truly managed to succeed during the game's timeline. But it's still interesting to put in.

I am kinda confused. The description mentions a merger with Umbra Spherae, yet their description doesn't mention anything of sorts.

Our main page might not mention it, but if you look in some later pages, it does make mention of it. Both mods are in cooperation with each other. Not exactly a full merger, but we allow each others mods to share content.

Haven't been able to play the mod yet (Graphics card died an agonizing death at some point yesterday) but does it include any Andaman island goodness? I want to play as hunter-gatherers numbering in the mere hundreds/thousands who still don't know how to make fire and try for a world conquest, ludicrous as that would be mechanics wise.

Speaking of name list, I put together one for Tang men's names earlier, based on Wikipedia's category page of Tang prefect/inspectors for fidelity.

A few mono-character names are homophonous, so I included them twice. I don't know if that would cause any adverse effects.

It does cause problems to repeat the same latinized name twice. Adding accents is one way to differentiate, however, not all Pinyin accents are accepted by the game's engine, only three are accepted, while the others are not, but there might be alternatives methods to use other similar accents in their place...

Would using Ji_Ji1 Ji_Ji2 do? And which one is not accepted? Grave and acute are no brainers, is it caron or macron?

Not sure if it's been said yet, but please make sure to edit the nomads so that their vassal clans/tributaries are actually vassal clans/tributaries like they are in the game rather than tribal vassals.

That won't work either. A name can only be used once each culture for each gender, if it has repeats, it causes bugs. And one with _ are only used to connect names between different cultures, and need to be the same. Rising and falling tones are accepted, but the game's engine does not accept the flat or fluctuating tones. V can be used in place of ü just like it is used in typing Pinyin ie: Lü rendered Lv. Perhaps ü could be used in alteration of the flat tone?

I'd personally disagree with using accent marks in names, when they are not used anywhere else in this mod.

I think so too. But it all depends on LumberKing's choice. My colleague here in China, a History teacher, thinks we should use pinyin-like accents, as it would be the best way to represent names that are very different in Chinese, but spelled similarly in Latin letters as other very different names. He thinks though the precedence for accent use might not be in the mod, it is at least in the base game. Input from a Chinese academic at least.

But if there are no accents being used, then even though a name might be very different in Chinese, if it has the same Latin spelling as another name, then it is a duplicate that causes bugs and cannot be used. Limitations of the game's engine.

Nicobar and Andamans are currently playable but as of now lacking flavour, I do hope to rectify this in the future.
On another note I am currently working on a decision-event chain to represent the headhunts of the Taiwanese Aborigines.

I always thought that was Han propaganda, apparently I was wrong.

Thanks for the input, IMO since this is just a random name list, maybe I'll just remove the pinyin duplicates as it can't be reverse-engineered anyways. And BTW, upon rereading the Wikipedia page, I discovered that there were two people with the same bisyllabic name, and were contemporaries, so maybe it's not unreasonable for people to have the same name in game. They're Wu Yuanqing(武元慶), one of Wu Zetian's half brother, and Li Yuanqing(李元慶), one of the sons of Emperor Gaozu of Tang.

The named lists only need to have a name down once and multiple can be named by it, the Wu and Li can be handled by Surname lists

So I fixed the duplicates, and also discovered that I somehow missed a few names from the source.

Progress Report -
Work has been started on new event pictures for China and Japan.
Andamanese has been added as a culture and tech has been appropriately added for the islands. Andamanese names have been provided by VOGA.
Some events and decisions have been added to various areas.

Progress has been slow, due to exams at my university. So we are looking for new members for the team. Preferably those who are willing to work, have ideas and knowledge of the areas in the mod and have the time available and a dedication to a project that they will grow to love.

#EDIT
Fire lances added to China, with decision, buildings and picture graphics.
