After getting the newest version of this mod, it seems that the events are WAY too repetitive. Playing as a count in Brittany, I get basically the same things over and over again: Poachers, Feast, Poachers, Chess, Poachers, reforming the economy. These are about the only events that I ever get, and it is worse with non catholic countries (As German pagans, all the events are about dealing with the Jewish community). It seems that a lot of the events that I saw in earlier mod versions have completely vanished.

I've been playing this mod with two of my friends for a few weeks now and we all really love it. Unfortunately, it seems that after 1-2 hours after we start playing, the two players who aren't hosting crash at the same time. The host doesn't crash. It has only ever happened while we've played this mod.

We also have a problem where after we get past the year 1100, it gets hard for us to join each other's game. What I mean is that when I am hosting, my 2 friends connect just fine but after a period of loading the saved game, the borders disappear and when they hover the cursor over land, it says something like "No selectable Character". The host of the server sees everything as it should be, so it only affects the other players. We've each tried hosting but the same thing happens- the land turns a dark grey color and says "No selectable character" (sounds ominous, doesn't it). This has never happened with plain old CK2, but it has also happened with CK2+.

I've tried to see if anyone has mentioned this problem already but from what I've read, I haven't noticed anyone having the exact same problems as we have had. Any help would be appreciated, especially since one of my friends refuses to play anything but this mod now!

I've downloaded the latest version of the mod (I'm actually having trouble playing Vanilla CK2 given how fun this mod is) but I'm running into some game breaking problems.

After around one hundred years of play (102 on my latest game) things stop working. It takes around 5 minutes (no exaggeration) to load a save game, and the speed with which the game runs has slowed to a crawl.
At the beginning it was almost as fast as vanilla, now it's progressing at Vanillas lowest time setting (even when I've cranked it up to max speed). Also I'm still having texture trouble, often the background to any profiles disappears, than eventually
the entire profile window (character, event, whatever) will become completely blacked out.

My computer has a Quad Core, 3.4ghz processor, two 2gig nividia graphics cards and 12 gigs of ram (if tech specs have anything to do with performance).
I really want to keep playing and enjoying this great mod, but at the moment it's impossible.

This is caused by memory issues. 12 gigs of ram doesn't mean much unless you changed the header to be able to use more than 2 (which I think is CK2's default), and even then it'll only go up to 3.25gb. The problem is the number of characters and the number of character events in the mod, I haven't checked since many many versions ago but if it's like it was back then, there are too many any_character and any_realm_character scopes, which cause lag as it checks the conditions against EVERY character in the entire world, or alternatively EVERY character in a realm (and by 100 years, that's alot of characters to check).

Ideally idib should make most of the events player only (ofcourse he may already have done so, as I said, I haven't checked for many versions, I moved on to using Balansegang as my base for my own games, and writing my own events for flavour).

Or maybe i should say damn you, 'cause now i have to take a couple hours away from my exams prep to check the new ver... Whatever :D

Lastly, i suppose the savegame will still be valid, am i right?

Yep, the slowdown seems to have eased with the new version Idib. Also, it seems the overall death rates are up and certain events aren't firing while new ones are firing more often, creating a varied diversity which is most welcome. Found a little an error with the Glass is Half Full/Empty event: It seems the option to make someone a rival goes something like, "Your Ruler's opinion of 'No Character' has become -100" or something like that. Not a bit thing but just a minor error for next version ;)

I like the negative prestige hit every month change you made and the overall quality of the mod is just right now. Just in time for the patch/dlc where we start over and the fun begins anew ;)

Bump for this!I'm having the same issue myself with the 4 guys I normally play with. Awesome mod, just wish I could get a multiplayer game going past 100 years.

Some other critques, these not related to bugs. Why do you no longer have the option of naming your children, and why do you only hear the baby crying, rather than get an event. I'm forced to open my thing, and see which one of my sons or daughters just had a child. They should just tell us and all, it only makes sense, and I'm not sure why that isn't done...

It even says, on message options, that I'm to be given a pop-up when family members have children, but that doesn't happen. Just the sound, is all.

What version of the mod are you using? This problem with the mod sprung up I believe with version M or P. But it was fixed with version Q so check to make sure your version is the newest (current is R and was just released today). If your using the most current version, make sure you deleted the last and not just copied things over, always delete the mods and folders first and then copy the most recent version to the folder. If none of these points apply to you then I don't know what to tell you, I'm able to name my children in my games using the most current version.

I haven't played multiplayer yet but I believe it's the issue that post #924 addresses in which this game is very event-intense, and when you couple in the traits and the portraits that uses Better Looking Characters, your game is naturally going to chug along after 100 years. It got to be like this for my solo games with older versions as well but the newest version seems to have helped a bit in terms of easing system load. Also, the death rates have seem to have risen so that will always help with the issues. My advice is to suspend your games with this mod in multiplayer until Idib can take a look at the new patch 1.06 because I'm sure there will be issues and changes that he will have to work on. With the new patch will certainly come a new version to address it.

I do indeed have P, thanks for the heads up. Just to double check before I do something irrevocable and all, save data does transfer between P and Q, right? I'm asking because I'm 160 years into a game right now. Thanks in advance.

I believe so. I'm able to play my current save which is version 'Q' I believe in version R so it should be alright but I'm not 100% certain.

This looks like the mod I need if I understand correctly it ads more events and other great stuff to the vanilla map? If so could I get you to incorporate the Pagans! mod as that does the same just for pagans but is seriously out of date and unplayable alone?
