Two of my favorite events, the invitations have the vanilla desc and options unless you have high intrigue or are very very paranoid, so most of the times you won't know what's happening until it's too late. I'll add more eventually, but I'm lacking ideas. If anyone has a nice revenge idea let me know.

Also, it is kind of like the red wedding, but I actually got inspired by the scandinavian blood feasts. The castration I just thought would be funny.

Oh and I forgot, if you end up killing the revenge target in a duel or in a tournament or what not, the plot is still completed.

Let me revisit my books and I'll post some ideas by tonight. I loved these events and I'd love to see new ones coming. As for now, I'd focus on the "events" more at hand: in Shakespeare tragedies, so often about revenge.

Titus Andronicus, anyone?

Why, there they are both, baked on that pie
Whereof their mother daintily hath fed
Eating the flesh that she herself hath bred.
'Tis true, 'tis true, witness my knife's sharp point.

Then you have the staged revenge in Much Ado About Nothing, Richard III's many plots, Hamlet and his "I'm going mad" play, or follow a bit the list of common tropes in revenge plays, so popular in the XVIth Century. According to Wikipedia:

- A secret murder, usually of a benign ruler by a bad person
- A ghostly visitation of the murder victim to a younger kinsman, generally a son
- A period of disguise, intrigue, or plotting, in which the murderer and the avenger scheme against each other, with a slowly rising body count
- A descent into either real or feigned madness by the avenger or one of the auxiliary characters
- An eruption of general violence at the end, which (in the Renaissance) is often accomplished by means of a feigned masque or festivity
- A catastrophe that utterly decimates the dramatis personae, including the avenger.

That can work for an event or two more, very Hamlet-like.

In tournaments you face the same opponent over and over again. Sometimes you can win twice against the same opponent and then lose the third time.

Anyone else can confirm this? Also, is it separate duels or does it just keep going over and over with the same guy?

I've seen it as well, separate duels with the same person.

I mentioned above but you may have missed it - the chain of events for Templar characters also seems a bit broken, specifically the coming home event seems to have been replaced by the 'arrest templars in france' event.

Looking at the kingdom de jure map, I noticed a couple oddities that I found worth to be mentioned.

First is the Papacy. There is a de jure Patrimonium Sancti Petri, to represents the Pope's land. I have my doubts whether it should be so big since the start, but the problem is that the Pope doesn't actually hold that title. Instead, it holds only the Santus Pontificius title. And, this, in turn, cause a weird de jure drift. I believe this is not supposed to happen, right?

A more obvious bug is the El Fasher one conty de jure kingdom/duchy. It is just one weird minuscule dejure kingdom right next Abyssinia.

These last one might be intentional, but now Brittany that is divided into two duchies, it is far to easy to its holder to just create the title as soon it have the money. Considering its rulers historically remained dukes for the whole duration of the game, this doesn't seem right.

I really like the idea of 'masking' vanilla events into modded events.

Why is it that a Mongol/Aztec invasion of an independent duchy within a kingdom, when won, results in the vassalisation of that kingdom?

In my case, I was Cilicia, controlling all of de jure Antioch except for the County of Edessa. The Ilkhanate invaded Edessa as part of their invasion of Antioch (I didn't think they could do that) and I ended up vassalised under the Ilkhanate, despite them never having declared war on me.

Also, the Aztecs invaded the Duke of Galicia, who was independent from the King of Leon, but when the Aztecs pressed their victory, the Kingdom of Leon was vassalised too.

I'm gonna have to check the cb, I don't remember changing it tho.

I can confirm this. If there was any doubt. Seemed weird that the king of castilla could send out arrest orders in France, and all he got was -25 piety. If I chose not to I could get one for three rather good traits. Didn't take long till I had all three.
