It's the portraits. Without them the mod runs just fine.

well, w/o portraits it loaded well and i also able to play...
So, how can i fix it to play w portraits as well?

I googled it, and apparently you have to delete the whole documents/paradox interactive folder. Try that and let me know.

Also, the game should run fine with portraits as well.

I used the hotfix and it fixed the stewardship issue but I can still create those 1 gold, 1 day cathedrals.

I'll find a way to fix that, and upload a final 1.1.

EDIT: You shouldn't be able to build them, they are just there but will be built only via a particular event chain. If you check on the conditions it should say never.

it doesn't help, also i have a CTD with portraits mod only, but, thank darktalon, who reminded me of the 2gb fix - it helps (anything works right now)
Also it's a bit strange: i didnt needed eh fix with previous version of the mod.

About to start a MP game and will report errors as they come. It appears that there is still the serbian-byzantine province in hammamid.

Re-download the mod, I updated a final version that fixes that problem. Or at least it should.

EDIT: Apparently it doesn't. I'll see what's up.

EDIT2: I deleted the county file from vanilla instead of from the mod. I'll update a 1.1b as soon as I'm done reworking a couple icons.

EDIT3: No sleep for me tonight :D

Idib's made extensive changes to the portraits mod (which could account for at least half of the overall changes made in the update) so please be patient with it concerning CTDs. I'm also getting CTDs using the portraits mod even after the 2gig fix but it still ctds around the time it generates flags and graphics but I've been playing the mod without the portraits mod for a majority of my games because although I love the changes it makes, I can't overlook the performance boost not using it.

But I can see how others would prefer it.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that the Mod works without the portraits, so please be patient while Idib finds the source of the issue. Updates always come with bugs and other than the portraits issues, this has been one of the best most stable releases for Prince&Thane.

Thanks again for all the hard work Idib :)

I haven't been having any CTDs and so far it's working great.

Slavic religion appears to have no holy orders unless they appear later, while it seems that Romuva starts with holy orders.

At least for the viking affected religions, your laws change back to the first tier every time you resume a game.

The final version for 1.1 is up, download link HERE. The portraits are working fine, if you delete the mod and re-install, put the 2gb fix and delete the gfx folder from whatever documents/paradox interactive/modfolder you're using. They work fine for me and I totally don't have a high end computer, but as the changes I did for the last update are rather extensive, you might find that older computers won't take that so well. I have no idea why for some people it crashes on loading, but it really shouldn't do anything like that. If it does you probably did something wrong, so check the instructions/mod thread and the forum for similar errors. Because otherwise everyone (me included) would experience such crash. I don't mean it in a bad way of course, I would just prefer to focus my efforts on improving the mod rather than on repeating the same things over and over and suggest different fixes and combos like a funky alchemist while I can't even replicate the crash. The checksums have also been updated.

I'll add holy orders for slavic paganism and judaism with next update. Also, are you sure the laws change back to their first tier?

I'm fairly certain that they do. (Edit just tested: Confirmed that all vassal respect laws are set back to none upon resuming a saved game)

I'm not really quite sure why it affects the slavic/romuva pagans though, as they did not worship odin... it's also sort of frustrating to be limited to either gavelkind or elective monarchy, although I suppose that might have been realistic considering the tribal state of the pagans.

Also extremely importantly, the maker of the Norse mod has a few errors in his CA.

Sparse CA is supposed to allow you to revoke infidel titles, but the revocation of any title in general is not allowed until high CA. If you read the descriptions, the intention was that you could revoke infidel titles at sparse CA, but are not supposed to be able to revoke titles from vassals that follow the true faith until high CA. This just does occur however as the way this was implemented was "infidel title revocation allowed" is at sparse/low CA, but revocation in general is allowed at high. What this does it make you unable to revoke any title, infidel or no, until high CA.

Also high CA grants Levy min Vassal, but Absolute does not. Meaning you lose the levy min vassal if you increase your CA. Admittedly I haven't gotten my CA there myself, but I assume this was how it will work. Which is most likely not WAD. Perhaps high CA is not meant to grant any min vassal levy as opinions grant true amounts of vassal levies due to granting a bonus to min as well as a penalty to max, (like +35% min -65% max, meaning you'll always get 35%)

I'd recommend you get rid of this integrated mod until it's in better working order. But hey, whatever floats your boat (or viking raiding ship, as the case may be).

Edit 3: The large feudal tax -30 appears to still be in play. ;/ As well as a +5 for autonomous vassals. The -30 feudal tax is only applicable to a duchy (and I'd assume a county.) Once you from a kingdom, you get access to changing the feudal vassal taxes and the penalty is no longer applied. The automatic changing of your respect laws counts as a law change, and put on the law change timer, which prevents you from changing your feudal taxation law often times.

Edit 4: I've noticed a few nations get 2 stacks of "defensive war," in addition to "defending the status quo" which is probably a bug. The HRE appeared to gain 2 stacks when embroiled in a massive amount of wars of independence, and the ERE was able to get 2 stacks of defensive war and defending the status quo while only in 1 defensive war against a vassal in a war to depose liege and 1 offensive war. Haven't been able to pinpoint exactly what causes this bug, sorry.

Edit 5: Just an interesting thing to note, with the Romuva/Slavic split, the slavic pagans are almost completed removed from the rest of paganland to their east, as there is a different religion (Slavic vs Romuva), and culture group (West Slavic vs Baltic). Not really a problem though, and I enjoy being able to eat Poland :p

Edit 6: Swearing fealty to a liege (or at least the HRE) destroys all a pagan's warrior cults. Probably WAD though, as it really prevents a pagan from simply joining the HRE just to eat it from the inside.

Really though, don't get me wrong, I absolutely love the mod!

In my last game, I noticed that all Ethiopians are now as light as the Europeans in terms of skin color. Was this purposeful or just an error when working on the portraits?

Btw, this was Without the Portraits mod.

I also found a couple more oddities but will list them when I get to play more.
