I love this mod but I keep getting CTD's, sometimes I get lucky and it will only crash once in an hour other times not so much. I don't know what determines the frequency but at this point its unplayable for me.

My log is filled with these:

try replacing the adjensies in the map folder of P&T with these
if that dosn't fix it, its probably better to wait for the update

Yes, it seems I did. I realized what was the issue now.

Also, as my searches in the thread seem to be falling short. Do you happen to be able to direct me to a fix for the gradually worsening game performance? If any exists for this mod.

Maybe a stupid and general question, but how do you guys feel this mod compared against then other better known mods, like CK2+ and the likes?

I've downloaded and played some number of them now, but I find it hard to wrap my head around all of them properly in the limited time I have to play.

I believe the general consensus is that CK2+ is more stable and 'balanced' than P&T, but doesn't add as much content or flavor. The Game of Thrones mod uses features from several different mods, and while it's very good, there are still oddities that pop up which don't really fit with the GOT universe; a considerable amount of work still needs to be done since GOT has different constraints than regular CK2.

TPATT used to be described as GOT mod in Europe, but I feel it's grown beyond that bounds. It's some balance, a lot of flavor and a dash of accuracy thrown in for good measure. All in all, I feel it makes the game more enjoyable to play from a historical simulator perspective, though perhaps not as much as a grand strategy game or a WC-aimed playthrough might need.

I highly encourage you to give it a try, and keep an open mind!

That's my experience too. I enjoy playing TPATT more in the micro (more to do, more provinces, etc.), but CK2+ gives a better game in the macro (less chance of something ridiculous happening elsewhere in the world)

Thanks guys. I've played the got mod, quite alot and I liked all the new stuff they added, but high level title play is a little stale at the moment, because there is nothing to do.

I'm an hour and a half in so far in and I;ve got to say: the CoA's are pretty. I also indeed see that TPATT shares alot of content with GOT.

This seems good stuff so far, and pretty thorough, The rules designer is also pretty awesome now.

I really hope you can work out a compatch between "The prince and the Thane" and "the Magnate Lords". =)

It will take a lot of effort because I'm sure I read that Magnate Lords uses the Vanilla map for province resources and since P&T uses the SWMH map mod (which adds over 100 new provinces to the map), ML would have to be expanded quite a bit.

I'm not saying it can't happen but I think the mod makers of ML would have to be open to that most of all but the current P&T building system uses the early systems that ML was build originally from (as far as I'm aware). So yes, I'd like to see both mods made to work together as well but there are some significant hurdles to overcome but like Idib has said many times before, Impossible is nothing :p

I've been playing this mod with two of my friends for a few weeks now and we all really love it.

Unfortunately, we have a problem where after we get past the year 1100, it gets hard for us to join each other's game. What I mean is that when I am hosting, my 2 friends connect just fine but after a period of loading the saved game, the borders disappear and when they hover the cursor over land, it says something like "No selectable Character". The host of the server sees everything as it should be, so it only affects the other players. We've each tried hosting a save we all took but the same thing happens- the joining players see the land as a dark grey color that says "No selectable character" (sounds ominous, doesn't it). This has never happened with plain old CK2, but I have also noticed it happened with an older version of CK2+ (before the SoI patches/expansions).

I have asked long ago (again, before SoI came out) but no one answered my question. I'm hoping I'm not the only one who encounters this problem so a few of us might be able to figure out why this is happening. Any help would be appreciated, especially because my friends don't want to play anything but TPaTT lol

Just a slight issue I've had, whenever I've tried playing as a Muslim ruler, for some odd reason whenever I go to build an Inn, it costs money, starts consturction then immediately cancels it, leaving me out of pocket and with no inn.

Tsk, tsk, if you don't believe in Jesus then there's no room at the inn! ;)

I think others have reported that with Christian rulers, too, so hopefully it's fixed for the next version.
