Hello, and welcome to the Kingdom of Heaven, the mod which brings you the larger than life characters, epic events, and more of the Third Crusade!

Can you rise from obscurity to becoming the honorable, great defender of Jerusalem as Balian of Ibelin?

Can you hold the instability of Jerusalem together as the Leper King?

As the great Sultan Salah ad-Din, will you be the technician needed to reclaim the holy lands?

Can you secure your place on the Angevin throne and wage crusade as the strategic mastermind of Richard the Lionheart, Or will you and your nobles restore the rightful French lands as Phillip Augustus?

As conflict arises in Germany with the likes of Frederick Barbarossa; Can you assist in his attempts to consolidate Roman Authority? Or can you act as the True Lion of Germany as Henry Welf seeks to restore his titles as Duke of Saxony and Bavaria?

The world of 1184 has much to discover. Will you follow your predecessors' great history, or will you lead yourself into the abyss of forgotten history books?

The Kingdom of Heaven is looking for more contributors in many different forms, including various historical sources to help bring light to the history of the times, scripters, writers, and people proficient with the in Game Portrait Editor - ones who know how to texture or model are appreciated.

- Revamped History (entirely redid massive portions of the history files, adding hundreds of new characters and familes, dozens of new titles and more, including a redone HRE down to the county level)
- Tons of 3D Models and Portraits for over 80 characters including Baldwin IV, Saladin, Richard the Lionheart, Philip Augustus, Frederick Barbarossa and More!.

- Bookmark Maps for the bookmarks of 1184 That Fall of Jerusalem, 1184 Kings Crusade, and 1184 The Byzantine Crisis
- Various unique Traits for the bookmark characters."

- Over 50+ Events including event chains for Richard the Lionheart, Balian of Ibelin, Philip Augutus, Frederick Barbarossa, Andronikos Komnenos, Tamar the Great, William of Sicily and tons of Generic Events to fit the era.

- Overhauls for Catholicism such as the College of Cardinals, Sainthood, and Investiture

- Guelphs and Ghibellines conflicts, with the Integrated Res Republic to fit perfectly with the Italian conflicts, will you side with the Emperor or side with the pope as you fight for Imperial Control over the Italian Countries.

- Integrated Artifact System from WOK Team, introducing various artifacts - and allowing for the introduction of Horse Stables, gain a horse and ride to victory!

- The Kingdom of Heaven Complete Soundtrack *as a submod

We are HIGHLY considering it.

We didn't want to at first for the sake of compatibility but then the state of Jerusalem is ugly atm, missing so many important locations so if we are to make map edits, you can be sure of a Ibelin, we have made the dynasty already

This looks fantastic! Latin Jerusalem has always been my favorite playthrough. Sadly KoJ does look abysmal atm. In fact, I just finished starting a thread about that.

YES! The Barony / County exists, currently held by the player's Real Father, but you don't know who he is at game start, He will come to find you in events, leading you to the Holy land . This part is based more on the movie versus real history - other than this one difference the mod strives for historical accuracy.
