A mod that adds additional nicknames to the game.
Let me know if there are any bugs or if some nicks pop up to often.
Feel free to add this to you own mod, just give credit for what you use.
I used Google translate for the Spanish, French, and German nicknames so please tell me if they are wrong.

Mind if I add these to the BGA mod?

If you're willing to create a working localization file I'm willing to add it to the mod. The only languages I plan to personally support with each update is the current four.

I checked the names (german). You mostly miss an e on the end:

the cunning = Der Listige
the meek = Der Sanftmütige
the spider = DIE Spinne
the learned = Der Gelehrte
the eloquent = Der Wortgewandte
the indolent = Der Träge (tricky word; that's the best translation I can think of)
the Affable = Der Umgängliche
the Prudent = Der Umsichtige
the downcast = Der Niedergeschlagene
the mild = Der Milde
the vain = Der Eitle
the stout = Der Stämmige
the ugly = Der Hässliche
the short = Der Kleingewachsene
the rash = Der Unbesonnene (sounds better for me; the old one would be "Der Unüberlegte")
the parricide = Der Vatermörder

I hope this helps a bit. Thx for the mod!

Have you changed the original nicknames at all?
As currently Confessor is just a generic high piety nickname, which it shouldnt be.
As Confessor is just the male version of Virgin [which until modern times was exclusively for women], So i would propose that any Nicknames improvement mod switch the localisation of Confessor with that of Chaste [or make a double of Chaste to put it on if you still want chaste] and make up a new name for nick_the_confessors localisation, like the faithful or something generic piousy like that.

Thanks for the German translations Chris I will added the changes to 1.6.
They are actual nicknames from European noblity thou not all are from the time frame of CK2. An example would be King Louis XI of France who had 3 nicknames. (The prudent, the cunning and the universal spider)
I only changed the requirements of the vanilla nicknames, but I will consider your suggestion Orinsul.

Update

I looked into the confessor nickname (wikipedia and a catholic website) and from what i read it has nothing to do with the title virgin; wikipedia even stated that the confessor was used when other titles couldn't be used. (one of them being Virgin)
This line from the catholic website i believe shows how the title is used in CK2.
"After the middle of the fourth century we find confessor used to designate those men of remarkable virtue and knowledge who confessed the Faith of Christ before the world by the practice of the most heroic virtue, by their writings and preachings, and in consequence began to be objects of veneration."

Please let me know if you have any links or such that say differently.

im just getting it from every book ive ever read about Edward the Confessor, so maybe its just the english used it wrong rather than edward being an example of how its meant to be used.

From what I read it was used for different reasons at different periods of time, ill see if I can find some info about it during the CK2 timeline. If it was more commonly used as you said i'll be happy to change it.

Info I found on Edward
He was called 'Confessor' as the name for someone who was believed to have lived a saintly life but was not a martyr or churchman.

Interesting Info on his wife Edith of Wessex.
Unlike most wives of kings of England in the tenth and eleventh centuries, she was crowned queen, but the marriage produced no children. Later ecclesiastical writers claimed that this was either because Edward took a vow of celibacy, or because he refused to consummate the marriage because of his antipathy to Edith's family, the Godwins. However, this is dismissed by modern historians. In the view of Edward's biographer, Frank Barlow, "The theory that Edward's childlessness was due to deliberate abstention from sexual relations lacks authority, plausibility and diagnostic value."

What book are you reading that disagrees with this? I think this could just be historians disagreeing with each other.

at the moment the only one ive got on hand is an old oxford history of england, that has the celibate line but its hardly a credible source, so id go with your current historians theories rather than the popular, but generally unsupported stories as peddled by textbooks. Ive read it in other things, but mostly what i read was written either before or inbetween the wars so no worries

Was already using that list of nicknames Jaol. :)
All the current nicknames have been used by at least one European or Muslim nobleman or ruler.
That nickname will require some scripting and I haven't started doing triggered or event nicknames yet,
but I plan to start doing some event and triggered nicknames soon.

Good idea Orinsul; how about the Exile is when they are banished and the Outlaw is if they flee arrest. (Can't think of a better use of the Outlaw at the moment unless it's tied into rebellion somehow.)
Two I had planned was The Founder if your duke or lower and create a kingdom title and the Pilgrim that you get for going on a pilgrimage to Jerusalem.
Still learning how to do triggered nicknames; this is my first paradox title so i am still learning where everything goes.
Until I learn how to do events I wont know how easy, hard or impossible some nicknames will be to implement.

How about the title Confessor? Like King Edward the Confessor.

Maybe also Landless for sons who received a fief very late.
