I love this mod it's amazing!
But I have a suggestion, some important titles are out of culture-change names, like France. And because of this if I play in spanish appear Francia instead of France and its ruler is frankish.
If you can add this lines on swmh_landed_titles.txt I think this problem is solved for France and Normandy, and you do me a favor, but would have to edit by myself in each release.

For France:
Code:
frankish = "France"
        english = "France"
        aragonese = "Franza"
        catalan = "França"
        castillan = "Francia"
        saxon = "Francland"
        basque = "Frantzia"
        occitan = "França"

For Normandie:
Code:
norman = "Nourmaundie"
            frankish = "Normandie"
            english = "Normandie"
            catalan = "Normandia"
            castillan = "Normandía"
            saxon = "Normandig"

Thanks for attention and forgive my english.

PD: In spanish forum I read this long time ago written by Bertuccio:

Vale, ya veo lo que pasa. Como el nombre que aparece en el código es el catalán (ej. c_lleida), di por hecho que en el localisation del vanilla estaría Lleida. Pues no. Está Lérida.

In english, may be: "there is a bug that causes on the map appear two names, then we decided block this dynamic names."

This post is from frebuary 2014, and I tested again unblocking this dynamic names (removing "#" before e.g. andalusian_arabic = "Wasqa"), and I think Paradox fix this bug and don't appear two names.

In fact, I think is possible remove all "#" on Iberia and we enjoy all changes of Iberian cultures.

Sorry if I'm being annoying with this ;)

Thanks :) yes the dynamic name bug is now finally under control and the last few remains of it seems to be gone with some polishing we have done in the EE. Will make sure to add the lines for next release^^.

I know I'm flogging a dead horse but any news on a tentative release date ?
Its going to enter hip testing within days, so we are at a stage of development where we can finally see everything coming together in full.
I don't think we can do it much better than its going to be within a months time, it might be two weeks, it might be three or it might be four weeks, it all depends on how testing works out and how long time full compatibility with rest of HIP will take. We want to be sure that this release is as polished as possible.

I noticed that An Dhun (province in Ulaidh) has two Temple holdings and no holding of any other kind in 867. Not sure if that was intentional or not.
I can't say 100% as I was not doing Ireland, but I am almost sure that it is intentional.

Really looking forward to the eastern expansion. I haven't really been playing CK2 lately, but will definitely start a new game with the update (unless I'm too busy with The Witcher 3 next month).

Try EMF+SWMH for the army sizes thing. You will never, ever see 300K in one army.
The city sprawl amount (how much graphical "cities" are drawn on the map to reflect building density in a province) can be tweaked in either common/defines.lua (search for NGraphics) or in your settings.txt (can tell the game not to draw citysprawl).

The tweak regarding setting.txt works. The one regarding defines.lua does not. But it works with the GoT mod.
Could you please tell me the correct path and what exactly i have to change. I tried replacing NGraphics city sprawl from 1 to 0.5 but the map remains the same: northen France looking like a huge city and it's suburbs.
Is it in the mod folder then HIP - common - defines.lua? I also use Flogi's tech mod and also tried the same changes in the defines.lua there; still no visible result.

You can only set it to 1 or 0, as far as I know.
i've set it to 0.3 a while ago it worked fine. it is possibly not possible anymore though.

It would definitely be a boon to the historicity of the region, it'd be far more sensible to have an Anglo-Danish melting pot rather than the rather current generic Anglo-Saxon setup which contains both Insular and Danish/Norse names.

This is probably a little late, but I definitely second an Anglo-Norse culture, especially since the necessary data in the culture files and such already seems to exist. Seems like a waste that it's not being used.

So, I was wondering if it is intentional that when my English Duke of O'Neill conquered enough land in Ireland and created the King of Ireland title, he is called Edward of Eire rather than Edward of Ireland? Should I just add an 'english = "Ireland"' line in the landed_titles file?
(I'm using SWMH as well as EMF, by the way).

It's just kind of weird seeing some of the provinces and most of the duchies I conquer changing to their English names while others (mostly counties and the aforementioned kingdom title) remain in Irish (which, if I'm honest, I'm having some trouble pronouncing... :p).

That would be the way to do it.

I'm adding an English dynamic name to k_ireland now, so that we don't forget it. A Saxon/English conquest of Ireland is plausible enough, even when AI directed that k_ireland should definetely have an English dynamic name

Sorry I'm Norwegian, could you explain what you mean with dynamic name?

Dynamic names is a game mechanic which allows us to script different names for various titles depending on the culture of the holder of said titles. Which means that when the culture of the liege of a given title changes the name will change too

Norway was overhauled before the 867 bookmark and the norse culture even became available and so Aasmul of course gave it the more Medieval name Noreg instead. It just hasn't been given any attention since then.

ETA: Although if i am not mistaken the Medieval name for Norway was actually Noregr and not Noreg
