I'll take the liberty of replying to this to avoid any...issues. The SWMH team has decided (and informed me as such) that they'd rather have a neutral third party not associated with either their team or ours maintain any compatch. And I respect and understand that decision. We (the CK2Plus team) also have a plan in place that will, hopefully, remove the need for anyone to maintain something like Project Synergy in order for the community to enjoy both our game mechanics and SWMH's map.

Apologies to Aasmul and the rest of the SWMH team for the temporary thread hijack,

Schwarherz

Edit: sorry to those of you that saw my typo. It's 1:00am here and I was trying to type a little too quickly I suppose.
I'm looking forward to this! Good luck!

I don't mean to be a pest, but does anyone have a solution to my problem? I love this mod and its hard to play the game without it, its like eating toast without butter.

First of all, thanks so much to the modders who keep working to provide us with Nice Things. Even on holidays!

The bad news: I'm getting some kind of conflict between the latest ARKO and the latest SWMH :( When I run them together, I get huge swathes of the map unpopulated on game start. Anyone else having a similar problem?

Edit: The problem seems to be with landed_titles.txt... I removed the file from SWMH and the map is populated once again, but I don't know if doing so will cause any other problems

I'm having a strange problem with the newest SWMH. All newly created characters (Ruler designer and debutanteas well as created by the game to fill courts) change into the same dynasty after save and reload. Now I have only a Mor dynasty with 3000+ members. Any idea how to fix this?

Cheers and thanks for the mod, I can't play without it.

You need to delete the landed_titles from ARKOpack, not SWMH's one ;)

First off - thanks for a great mod.

Can you advise if SWHM would have any impact on performance? For some reason, with SWHM + PB (only 2 mods I use) I get really degraded performance in-game, to the point where it is unplayable. There is lag when panning around the map and constant stutter / lag during gameplay. All of that disappears when the game is paused, map becomes beautifully smooth again, the moment I unpause the game the constant lag returns in force. Never had this issue with vanilla CK2.

I've started the game with Game Booster, unchecked affinity to core 0, CPU usage is about 13% and HDD is barely read at all; just wondering if it is likely that extra provinces are having some sort of impact on performance... That would be terrible as I can't imagine playing vanilla CK2 again after playing SWHM - this mod is fantastic. Oh, I've i7-2760QM, 8GB RAM and Radeon 6990M.

EDIT: Hmmm... started a new campaign and performance is miles better. Must something fishy with the save maybe.

Your game is likely lagging because you are experiencing a bug that is adding all of the randomly generated characters into a dynastic house called 'House Mor' or 'House Alexandri', like myself and numerous other posters are reporting. This bug doesn't trigger at the start of the game. It only fires after a save is reloaded.

The "Mor issue" has brought my games to a halt :(

Every save game transforms half the world into that odd dynasty, including my ruler. It only started after installing the new SWMH.

Please help :(

Bug: I'm playing with PB and SWMH. I don't know which mod is doing this, but I'll post in both threads.

In the North of Ireland, you have County Antrim and Country Down back to front. County Antrim should be in the North, with County Down south of it.

What happened to the Muslim Caliphs? There's no head of religion for the Sunni's or Shiite's. The Shia Caliphate has history up until 867, but for some reason the title is lost before the game starts.

Edit: I'm using PB+SWMH both using the latest version.

+3

help us! :(

Thanks :). The bugs should be dead now, had put a 0 to much on some of the Norsegaelic dynasties' ID and that messed up the engine.

I've checked the download, and we are now at 2.8512. I've now installed this update and also disabled the Speak English submod. Initial testing seems to show that this bug is gone for now.
Yes 2.512 fixed the dynasty bug, sorry about the lack of communication, got sucked back into the Christmas preparation before I could finish writing a new reply in the thread.

There appears to be an issue with Venice where in 867 and I believe 1066 it is not receiving the correct trade post limit, in the 867 start it is unable to construct a single trade post. The "base" trade post value seems to be set to 0. There may be in issue with a couple of the other republics, but I can only say for certain that Venice's numbers are lower than it should be.

This is with only SWMH enabled.
You are defiantly right, not sure how to kill it though , it only appears to be affecting Venice as far as I can see though.

I might post some further Dutch names (if needed) for other regions once a part of the Low Countries or bordering the Low Countries. Though it might take a few days.
Thanks Ruwaard would love to add them:)

I have the exact same problem and mods as Raineh Daze has.. how do I fix it?
Delete landedtitles.txt in Arkopack, and make sure that both PB, SWMH and PB+SWMH is selected in the launcher.

How do I get English culture if I start 867 and dont let norse spread across british isles?
We have not changed it from vanilla, I think it only works if the ruler is Norman

Done; that fixed the problem but there's another one now, vast area's of the map (it seems to be mainly the new cultures added by SWMH) are titled as 'noculture'. How to fix?
are you using the latest version of swmh?
the earliest version of 2.851 lacked the PB dependency line in the moddir file, and could potentially cause it, although then you should probably also be experiencing other problems like the one caused by the landedtitles in Arkopack.
Do you have other mods activated than the three?

Yup, got the latest version of SWMH from the link you gave a few posts ago.

Besides the three.... I have cultural cities, better looking garbs, better montains for SWMH and PB Viet Events.

One small suggestion regarding the special title of the heir apparent of the HRE. Instead of 'King of the Romans', 'Römischer König' might be more flavourful and more in line with 'le dauphin', which is used for France.

Probably something to do with either cultural cities or BLG having a culture file conflicting with swmh then, I will do a little check and see if I can find what has become incompatible.

You have a malformed province history file: 120 - Gottingen. On line 4, you have a comment without a comment marker.
Thanks Measter:)

Good idea, that should defiantly be changed in the base version for next release.

Is there any chance of coding in Paulicianism as an Orthodox heresy? I asked Meneth, but he said it was out of PB's scope.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paulicianism

Essentially, the Paulicians were a sect of Adoptionist Christian primitivists (restorationists) who originated in Armenia in the 7th century. In the 867 start date, following widespread persecution, the Paulicians had fled to Muslim Armenia where they were granted asylum by the Emir of Melitene. They built the cities of Tephrike and Amara, which are in the province of Sebastia, and joined the Muslims on their raids on Byzantine Anatolia. In 867, their leader would be Chrysocheirs, who replaced his uncle Karbeas in 863. I would probably just give Chrysocheirs the Chrysocheiros dynasty. He would be Greek, and I would probably make him a vassal of Marwan of the Marwanid Emirate.

In 867, I would make Koloneia and Sebastia Paulician.

In 1066, Phillipopolis and Thrake. Phillipopolis was where they were resettled by Emperor John Tzimisces in the 10th century after promising to help hold back the Bulgarians. Thrake was where large numbers of Paulicians had been settled by Constantine V in the 9th century. In the 1080's, the Paulicians of Thrake and Phillipopolis mounted an insurrection with the Bogomilists against Alexios I Komnenos. They failed.

Hello there, SWMH team.

I wanted to ask you guys what's going on in Nubia/Makuria. I'm aware that the Nile River, with its predicable floods and help with facilitating trade should, indeed, be fairly wealthy, but I don't quite get why almost every province from Makuria up to Qasr Ibrim has a maximum of 6-holdings.

Here's a map:

What exactly is making this bit of the Nile so much more valuable than everything south and most of what's north of it? After Qus, the topmost province labelled above, nothing surpasses or matches its holding-cap until Cairo. There's only 2 provinces with 5-holdings.

I am aware that the Baqt trading agreement between the Ethopians, Beja and Nubian peoples increased their wealth, but this is simply absurd.
