I've noticed that when your ruler is Andalusi, you have access to all retinues, and can build two different cultural buildings, namely the Al-Faris Training Ground and the Zanatan Riding Ground. Been noticing it since 2.85.
That's due to SWMH not being updated for 2.0.2 yet. 2.0.2 changed how retinue triggers are handled, so retinues from before 2.0.2 are available to everyone.I've noticed that when your ruler is Andalusi, you have access to all retinues

Should be pretty much the only thing in SWMH that broke with 2.0.2 though.
Yeah, that's a bug of some sort.Ah right. However it is the only culture as far as i can see that can build two different cultural buildings.

Yep. The old way to trigger retinues no longer works, so they end up being available for everyone.Regarding the retinues, do you mean the added 'potential = {...}'?
That is most probably right.I have a question Elvain. Weren't the Western Oases supposed to be independent from the rest of Egypt until the Ayyubids? Because in the 1066 and the Alexiad starts the Fatimids still control them.
Because in many of the provinces the most important settlements I was able to found for that time were churches, abbeys, monastic centers... The construction of castles and forts came after the norman invasion of the island in most of the cases. Many of those provinces have only one barony created, so the ruler of that barony gets the county title. Given that those baronies are mainly ecclesiastical, there you have the reason![]()
@Meneth:
An Ireland with 32 provinces but only 2-3 holdings per province (with only 1 built in 1066!) is actually a novel and quite intriguing idea. If you look at how Ireland was governed in the middle ages - or rather, how it had pretty much no government at all - such an extremely low density of holdings would fit the land and its historical theme VERY well. Ireland in 1066 had almost no cities and certainly no bishoprics. It's hard to imagine it if you are familiar with Ireland today but back then it was not an agricultural country at all, at least not in the sense that they raised a lot of crops. Ireland was a country mostly of pastoralists, with very little settled life going on. Whose traditional legal code referred to calfs and female slaves as the unit of measurement for the severity of a fine. Warfare revolved around the capture of cattle and slaves, and the imposition of tribute, not around territorial conquest. They didn't even have villages, instead people lived in the sort of settlements you only see in Africa nowadays: A bunch of huts around a kraal type cattle pen. One extended family per settlement, more or less. The CK2 typical castle + bishopric + city province is in this context a very weird and alien construct.
One small question, are the two cultural buildings for the Andalusian Arabs, intentional or a bug? Since, see my previous post, they currently have two. Again, which one would be the most appropriate?
BTW fixed the retinue issue for my home version; a bit dull, but very easy to fix.

That's weird it shouldn't really be affected that much by the update :unsure: You got all three ticked in the launcher right?Now PB+SWMH doesn`t work whith SWMH 2.851
PD Enable PB, PB+SWMH, and SWMH in the launcher (maybe works only with PB+SWMH and SWMH)?
Sorry will get at it, looks like there is also quite a few suggestions in last couple of pages in the thread I missed :blush:. Been a bit busy time lately with exams and all, and we were primarily focused on the stuff for the next big version(took three days before I even noticed 2.02 had been released :ninjaStill no norsegaelic dynasties? *sigh*
