I totally missed the OS part :blush: that might be the reason of the problem.
Basically the moddir setup got a problem on Mac OS, simplest solution is to delete the whole line with
"user_dir = "Some what more historic (NV)" on it. Hope it helps.

That was my first instinct, too. I hashtagged the line (placed a # before it) and ran the mod; same problem. I'm currently 400 miles away from my computer, so I'll try deleting the line altogether when I get back next week.

The k_shiite was fixed before the release, the d_alwahat (and few other localisations) issue was hotfixed, but I think that Aasmul has already updated the version which includes this fix (I'm not sure about this one, though)

I get an invisible captcha I can't see no matter which browser I use (IE, Aurora,Chrome). I never see a download link.
I've turned off all my browser security to no avail, it must be a system level security issue and I'm not turning those off just for mediafire.

Let me know if it works, I will do what I can to find a cause but I haven't got a mac so it can take a bit more of trial and error than usual nailing down what's wrong.

Are you sure all holy sites are added? Since Jerusalem isn't listed as a Jewish holy site, which I found suspicious, hence I decide to report this.

Okay that rules out mac issues. The most likely problem would still be something to do with the moddir file and the defined path not being the right somehow I think.
Do you get the same problem when trying other mods or is it just swmh that act weird?

btw do you put the mod in the mod directory or in "your user documents>\Paradox Interactive\Crusader Kings II\mod"?

Each island had even petty kingdoms at the time the normans first came to Lanzarote, except from Gomera and El Hierro. I agree it should be at least three independent counties and not a duchy but i don't know how that will affect gameplay. And AFAIK this mod had an own culture for the Canaries amazigh people (Iznagen), but for the next time if you're gonna change something in the canaries you should change the title name from Maghan to Guanarteme that was the title of the amazigh princeps of Gran Canaria. And rename the Asensen 1st barony, because Titerokkaq is the indigen name for Lanzarote (included with Maharat in the eastern county), you may use the indigen names of La Palma and El Hierro: Benahoare and Eseró.

I love the fact that in the mod you used a more berberic spelling naming the islands, it is more historic. Nowadays we generally use more hispinicized forms like "Achinech" or "Guanche" instead of "Asensen" and "Wanzenet". If you need more personal names to add to the culture files I have some records of indigen antroponyms. Btw, i enjoy this mod so much!

I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask or not.... but I installed this mod along Vanilla Immersion, Events, and Traits and Project balance... and something about them seem to mess this mod up. When I try and start a game half of the spots on the map are black and unpickable, I installed everything correctly.... but not sure what's wrong.

I'm a bit surprised after all this time SWMH still uses the default map as its base. All the added provinces make things overly cramped and for some tiny provinces. Are there problems with creating a larger map (say 3072x3072)?

I'm not sure how to attach the screenshots I've taken, but I appear to have fallen victim to an "Orlando Bloom!! Peasant Revolt". Is this just an Easter egg, or is my king of Leon under attack by very confused time travelers?

The ones that work for you doesn't add a separate save game directory via a userdir in the moddir file, unlike swmh and PB.
It could be due to userdir.txt file you added, try opening swmh's moddir file in notepad or notepad ++ and delete the userdir line on it.

The workload, and a bit attachment to the old map after all the work that has been put into it.
Evander did make a nice swmh version of DEIOU that replaced the map files, but it hasn't been updated in a while.
Hey, I'm having a problem where with Project Balance the King of Khazaria has no religion, is this a known problem/how should I fix it?
Most likely either a history file in PB, or alternatively if you are running also Arkopack I don't think the religion file included there has yet been updated for 2.0, and that would cause the same result.

Each island had even petty kingdoms at the time the normans first came to Lanzarote, except from Gomera and El Hierro. I agree it should be at least three independent counties and not a duchy but i don't know how that will affect gameplay. And AFAIK this mod had an own culture for the Canaries amazigh people (Iznagen), but for the next time if you're gonna change something in the canaries you should change the title name from Maghan to Guanarteme that was the title of the amazigh princeps of Gran Canaria. And rename the Asensen 1st barony, because Titerokkaq is the indigen name for Lanzarote (included with Maharat in the eastern county), you may use the indigen names of La Palma and El Hierro: Benahoare and Eseró.
Hi, thanks for suggestions.

1) the issue with title: this is an engine problem. For pagan religions the game only allows generic names ("Chief"/"high chief"), not culturaly different. For West Africans I used a Soninke names, which I found the most correct for the core of this religious group. Hopefully in the future this might be redone if Paradox allows us to treat the Pagans like the christians and muslims.

The Amazigh culture not separate culture fot Canaries, but general Berber culture, which has been splitted.

The ones that work for you doesn't add a separate save game directory via a userdir in the moddir file, unlike swmh and PB.
It could be due to userdir.txt file you added, try opening swmh's moddir file in notepad or notepad ++ and delete the userdir line on it.

Modifying the moddir file didn't work, however when I delete my userdir.txt the mod works again. So thanks for the help :D I love the mod.

Also, I've noticed the county of Brno does not have the city of Velehrad, the capital of Great Moravia. I would suggest that you add it as a barony in Brno, and in the 867 start, the county of Brno should be renamed Velehrad and have the barony as its county capital (whilst keeping Brno as a holding in the county).

Thanks for reminding this!

I originaly planned adding one more province to Moravia to have the core of GM represented nicely, so I left the settlements there untouched... and later on with the bunch of work on Africa, I forgot about it.
You will get all the necessary settlements (also in Bohemia, where Levý Hradec was (most probably) Bořivoj's capital before he relocated to Praha after his conversion to Christianity).

I've also noticed how the Norse faith is called Ásatrú. If I recall. that is the name of the Revived Norse faith.

That gave me an idea. As the unreformed and reformed variations of the Pagan faiths have different localizations, why not use the revived names of the Pagan faiths in game as their reformed name, while their regular name is the unreformed name?

We could have Norse & Ásatrú, Slavic & Rodnovery, Baltic & Romuva, Finnish & Suomenusko, Tanri and Tengri and Aztec & Teotl. As for West African, it is currently used for all of Africa, not just the west, so I'd suggest renaming it to African.
