I actually also wanted to ask you about your thoughts on Danish barronies, since Im planning on finally putting them right. Lolland is done correctly but otherwise I have only changed a few, back when I initially released the mod.

Also a question about Patrum Terra, should I start to work on the rivers with the current projection or should I hold off til we have seen Evanders maps?

The Baronies can be a bit of a hit and miss, first you should decide the number for balance, and then just search for cities with rights that are old enough, castles and abbeys. It's drudge work in google and I don't have any better sources. I doubt the local library has much, but I might check anyway this coming week.

And on Patrum Terrae there is no reason to work if it'll have to be redone, so wait and see what Evander has to offer. You should also ask these things in the Dropbox instead, we have a file in there for you to write questions in

I had orignaly planned on using the corrections from the Bohemian v Reichlau mod, but it turned out that it didn't have its own localisation file(meaning I would have to go thourgh a quater of the Vanilla Localisations to find the changes).

Will add the changes sometime this week.

This friend is currently working on a mod for a different game and since the release date is close he doesn't want to buy CK2 yet, but as soon as he does I'm sure that he'll gladly help you out with more info on other regions as well.
(he is also a grammar nazi so I'm to tell you that the correct name of your mode should be "Somewhat More Historic 2.0" )


EDIT: oh, and the old czech titles are
duke - kniez
count - pan
baron - kastelan
bishop - biskup
mayor - rychtar

So for example: Pan of Olomovc, Kniez of Morawa

There should be also some changes made to the baronies, but that's maybe better left for when he gets here

Addendum on the mayor:
Rychtar was when put by the king, whilst when elected from the council the correct title was purkmistr. Both existed at that time and the power flowed from one side to the other (althugh more towards the purkimstr, as it was more independent). But for the Medieval time it might be better to use rychtar.

Just a bug I've encountered. There is a town in County Dublin called Trim and the main castle in the County Trim is also called Trim. Once you build the other Trim in Dublin, there is a bizarre issue with it. It probably has to be renamed to something else.

Secondly, Queens in Ireland are called Ard Rí in this mod just like the Kings of Ireland. The Irish for High Queen should be Ard Béan Rí or something similar. I am 'somewhat' fluent in Irish if you need any help on these regards.

Thanks, will fix it for the update. I would love some help with thoes . A big portion of the Irish localisations has been already been done, but I would appriciate if you could give me a vertification or see if there is things that should also be included in gaelic form.

if you have time to skim the changes through, you can find them in the localisation folder of the mod in the file called "Nobletitles.csv". If you open it in excel the Irish ones currently goes from 204-229.

- edit looking trough the file I think that there is a couple of things that might need correcting. Im guessing that all titles that contain king should be changed to "Rí" instead of "Ri"?
I hope to have everything done today but I can't gaurentee it(im also reworking the Rheinland, Danish barronies and a couple of other things )

Sure buddy, I'll have a look after my lunch. I had a good standard of Irish when I left school ~6/7 years ago so I'll see can I remember anything useful. I'll correct any spellings if necessary. Irish has some bizarre quirks of grammar which I'll try help you with. (for example, Ard Rí na hEireann is High King of Ireland. Notice the 'h' )

Excellent mod. I'm really enjoying it. Currently after unifying Ireland, I've been watching Duc William fight for almost 26 years to press his claim on the Norwegian King. :blink:

As for Consort... Sort of unsure what the English term is but I will make an assumption that it means joined with or something. The Irish for a wife is a Bean chéile (literally woman with (you)) so I'll deduce that Banríon Chéile would be Queen-Consort.

Changelog:

Removes the barrony of Trim from Dublin(apparently it reapeared somehow since 2.09c)

Fixes Bohemian and Moravian province naming

Adds Czech localisations(remmber the de facto leige's culture is the one decideing what is shown, so if you are under a german emperor you will still get the german naming, the duchies however has been given their own unique prefix so the will display with Czech localisations reagrdless)

Adds the two fixes to the Irish localisation

Adds marshy terrain to Dithmarschen and Vadehavet(west coast of southern Jutland and Slesvig), the terrain is named as hills for some reason(its an unused one that the boys who made Mercator discovered. Hopefully I can find a way to change the name at some point and add some modifiers.(the region was dreaded by invading millitary comanders for a reason..)

Redraws the rest of the Rheinland and adds two extra provinces, the area should now be as correct as possible/desireable(if I add more it will get to cramped) on county level(I would very much appricate some input/suggestions on how to improve the duchies, currently Im struggeling to find a better setup)All barronies in the region should also be historical correct.


Planned for the next update(hopefully sometime this weekend):
Properly done Danish barronies.Im halfway currently, and not all will be spelled in east norse at the begining, but I will translate those at a later point(Im not very profficient so it takes time)

btw Im working on Abër and Macedonia at the moment, does anyone have a good Idea of how to go about it? Will begin with doing the rivers, but when it comes to provinces I don't really know where to start.

also since Bosnian culture has been added it would be nice to have correct localisations on bosnian titles(barron/barroness, count/countess, duke/duchess, king/queen, emperor/empress) and holdings(county, duchy, kingdoms)

Duke should be "Ban" I suppose but what about the rest?

When trying to sort the Danish barronies out, it struck me that the Color was rather unpleasent(at least I have a hard time getting a feeling of national pride from it..)
So I decided to try some different red colors, and ended up with two candidates.
