Ever felt that Habitats were too expensive for your overpopulated, credit-short and possibly food-short empire? That you wanted to fortify that one choke point that had a big gas giant, a lot of moons, but no habitable worlds?

I was kind of stumped on this too, but then, I had an idea.

Two months, a crashed graphics card (unrelated, but it sure delayed me until the new one got here), and a lot of hard work later, I finished what I humbly consider to be a very useful mod- Stellar Ignition.

After taking the Stellar Ignition ascension perk, you can build a Stellar Igniter Staging Area around a gas giant of sufficient size. When the Stellar Igniter is constructed, 5000 minerals later, every moon around that world will become nominally habitable.

In particular, they become Pre-Teraformed Worlds- noxious soups of organic compounds that, in the hands of skilled teraforming engineers (such as those from the Blue Sun Corporation :) ), can be quickly and cheaply converted into whatever type of world you desire.
