I was kinda bored today, so i decided to rework my old Startertech mod.
Back in 1.2 or so i created this mod to add techs on gamestart, techs like robots, terraforming and whatnot.
To do that i created a trait and an event which checked for empires with that trait on gamestart.
Now Utopia added Mechanist, a Civic that grants two techs.
So, i pretty much used that Civic to recreate my old mod.

Clones (Materialist):
A society of clones, pops grow faster and the homeworld starts with a clone vat. Also they start with Genome Mapping and Cloning techs.
Terraformers (Materialist):
To counter Environmental changes caused by pollution, this society developed Terraforming.
Terraforming is cheaper and faster, they also start with Terrestrial Sculpting and Atmospheric Manipulation
Weapon Masters (Militarist):
Countless Wars lead to the development of deadlier weapons.
Starts with Tier 2 Mass Drivers, Missiles and Lasers.
Deals more damage, but has weaker defense
Defense Masters (Pacifist):
An Eye for an Eye and the whole World is blind. Thats why they developed stronger defense mechanisms instead of weapons.
Starts with Tier 2 Shields, Armor and Pointdefense.
Defense is stronger, but weapons are weaker.
