Yeah, they also need their flag updated and their pops using civilian clothes instead of military. You'll find a lot of empires in a placeholder state to some degree. We still need to go through and add more variations to a number of species, more clothes, ships etc.

All coming in v0.5.

I'd be really curious to see if people playing United Earth 100 or so years in notice our surprise...

Thank you, now I can't sleep because I'm going to think about what that surprise might be (and that I'm going to find it out tomorrow) :D ^^

Great mod, from what I've seen so far. I am immensely enjoying my United Earth playthrough on your static map. The Cardassians are at war with a Bajoran/Bolian defensive alliance, and the Klingons have just declared on the Vulcans. Here I am trying to be peaceful and get treaties with my neighbors, but nobody's going for it. Good luck with your little war, Vulcans. I would have helped you, but you just wouldn't have any of it. Fine, be that way.

A couple of things I've noticed, after a couple of hours of play:

1) I could see the Borg on the galaxy map straight away. I know exactly where they are, and exactly how big their empire is.
2) The Bolian race is not displaying correctly when you diplomatically communicate with them. They were my first contact (before the Vulcans, even), and they didn't display anything in the main window (although the pop icon in the bottom of the window displayed just fine). After I made contact with the Vulcans, the Bolians now display as if they were Vulcan.
3) Any default ships (those that are carried over from the main game), like pirates, no longer display correctly. They show a strange little tri-colored box where the turrets should be.

Fantastic work you've done so far. Love it.

Good feedback Vicar. I can't answer everything there but the Borg are set up that way at the moment to avoid issues with them declaring war and peace. Still WIP as you'd imagine.

Will take a look at Bolians - need to give them some more clothing options anyway... :D

Update on the Bolians: they don't necessarily display as if they're Vulcans. Rather, they display as the previous race that you've been in contact with. Last night I was talking to the Andorians, and then talked to the Bolians, and they displayed as Andorians.

Keep up the good work.

I had that same bug with the Horta standalone portrait a while back, if that helps in any way.
Their empire also spawned without a name then, and generally was really buggy.
