At the moment no. Federation events will only trigger for the AI if you don't play one of the four founding members.

I'll probably re-work this eventually though - including a loop event that checks for the most appropriate candidate to lead the formation rather than just having four separate events competing with each other for trigger.


Ok, the tellerites are in the coalition with humans, Vulcan andandorians. The breen, bolians and bajorians are associates. What else needs to happen for the Federation to fire?

Hey guys,

just wanted to say how awesome that mod is :).
Really immersive with all those big and small events related to the series, great stuff.

Maybe I found a little but rather annoying bug:
The Kazon are spamming "Guarantee Independence" on the other Kazon-tribes (forgot their names), all their neighbours do it, too - so it's getting rather frustraiting right clicking all the icons on the top of the screen.:confused:

How about if when earth gets blown up from the Xindi chain, you get a choice between starfleet taking over, becoming the remnants and militarist, or leaning on your allies (or something), staying blue United Earth with all its flags so you can still form the Federation and maybe a boost in relations with fed founders to help that?

First, my apologies if it has been put here, or isn't actually an issue, but I came back to the mod after quite a bit of time not playing it and discovered in my games as both United Earth and the Vulcan High Command that I am unable to actually get some of the Traditions as they are locked at the 0/5 phase, as if they've been adopted, but no bonuses are being given for that state. Is this something that was done for flavor for each species? To help mold them into their "show box?"

Also, question: Have you guys thought about using a single custom trait for each species to get the "core" aspect of them? Such as giving the Vulcans Venerable/Very Strong/Slow Breeders/Intelligent via one trait, rather than 4? Maybe I'm wrong, but I think Vulcans should have Slow Breeders over Non-Adaptive.

Yes you are correct regarding the traditions. I don't know the exact technical way they did it but it is linked to your ethics I believe and the traditions that are not in line with these are unavailable to your faction. No bonus is given for the adopted state.

So expect Traditions to be *significantly* improved by the time we move to Beta.


Quick update on some stuff we've been working on:

"The Expanse" Xindi chain
Finished the first of four randomly triggered missions that may or may not occur within the main Xindi arc. These will cover those aspects of Series 3 of Enterprise that we didn't include in current event chain. I won't spoil all of these, but the first references the episode Hatchery and has a pretty cool potential outcome where the Insectoid hatchlings are 'adopted' by the crew.

"Whale Probe" chain
Added some cool event options should you happen to have a science ship captain of a 'certain' fishy species. Will also be adding some more options for the time travel element, including additional time periods to try.

More ships!
Our quality pass on the ships in the mod will continue. Grinsel and the rest of the 3D team have some amazing stuff to show here.

More diplomatic dialogue
We'll be adding a lot more species specific diplomatic responses after our first batch for the Vulcans and Klingons. If a Trek race has a unique speech style, expect us to represent it!

New map modes
We've completed our first new map mode - the "Relative Fleet Power" view. This colours empires according to their relative fleet power to the player (or whichever country is selected).

More species
While every playable species has a unique appearance, several of our "primitive" and minor races still use placeholder graphics. Expect the Acamarians, Saurians, Yridians, etc. to be included.

Federation formation
I've loosened the restrictions on forming the Federation a tad. Players who have suffered the loss of Earth at the hands of the Xindi and transformed into the United Human Remnant will now be able to form the Federation should they manage to shift back to being xenophiles.
As before, every species that has contact with Humanity will get an option when Earth is destroyed to send aid, with the AI favouring that option only if good relations exist. Every aid donation will have a chance to shift Humans back to xenophilia, as the galaxy shows that not all aliens are out to destroy Humanity.

I think I may have found a bug. Buildings like the Frontier Clinic and Dilithium Refinery seem to give the bonuses even when they aren't being worked.

Also, the volume on the race specific diplomacy screen dialouge is much louder than everything else.

No, but I just realised what the teaser pic was not too long ago! At first it reminded me of 2001 space odyssey lol
It's not unlocked through private colony ships.. without saying exactly how it's unlocked and spoiling the surprise can you say if it's a model rather than a whole new class and whether it's specifically a colony ship or consturctor etc or whether the model can be used for all civilian ships? :)

I was trying to search the forums for this issue but it didn't come up.

When my friends and I tried to play multiplayer cross platform there were problems with players not being able to give orders to ships. When the Macintosh player started the game the Windows players could not give ship orders and when the Windows players started the game the Macintosh player could not give orders. There were out of synch errors displayed as well.

No other mods running

Fantastic work on the mod so far guys, I've been focusing on the Dominion for now but really looking forward to future playthroughs as other races!

A couple of quick questions which I couldn't find an answer to...

As the Dominion, is it possible to eventually 'absorb' the Cardassians and Breen and retain access to their ships etc? I basically just want to recreate the war...
Does (or will) the mod include content from the "post-TV show era"? I haven't seen a Sovereign class yet but I guess I really mean non-canon 'future stuff' to extend the timeline beyond, say, Nemesis.

Both running the same version of the game? E.g. Stellaris 1.6.1? You're sure both have the same version of the mod?

This sort of thing isn't really something we control I'm afraid.
