Fantastic work on the Sona! Do you have any features planned for them? such as subspace weaponary or the inclusion of the Baku System in their territory?

Baku, the planet, itself could have a special resource, "metaphasic radiation" that could grant a substantial leader lifespan to the empire controlling and exploiting that system. You could gain access to the radiation via a chain event involving the collector.

I guess the world could also be occupied by the Baku, (no spaceports or tech) , maybe resembling a renaissance era species, and they could be tied into the chain. (kill the pops and gain the radiation/leader lifespan increase for ALL species in your empire, or dont kill the Baku pops and have the long living Baku pops integrated into your empire with maybe a +% modifier in society research.

Also, are the Antedeans going to be an unaffected race, given their dislike of space travel?

And a longer term question... what's the next faction getting the next big update theming thing? Don't have to spoil the features but I am wondering who gets the treatment next!

Would love to see an annual Klingon High Council mechanic with the following as options...

Increase Ship Building Speed across the empire temporary edict. Useful for wartime

Exile an rebellious house (or faction in this case). Completely eliminates or substantally rdeuces the support for a particular house/faction.

Empire integration mechanic. Should be similar to the feds but only work towards warlike species such as the Gorn or Nausicaaans

That's all I can think of for the Klingons....

Immediate concerns for us are:

1) Fixing up the lingering issues resulting from the 2.0 changes.
2) Implementing the species portrait updates / new empires we've shown off recently.
3) Testing out something cool to do with new ways we can handle ships.

After that... well, there are a lot of empires in the mod that haven't had a focus yet and need some love. Klingons and Romulans being the biggest I guess. At the same time, the Federation Founders are a bit anæmic with events... so lots of stuff for us to implement!

Can I assume if we're getting the Antedeans, the long term goal is to have every minor race from the old Birth of the Federation game in the mod? :)

Just got the Odo event chain for the first time, lot of fun. I did get it as the mirror Borg, which seems wrong, though - not sure if regular Borg can also get it, and if this is intended. Also got me thinking, it'd be fun if there was a similar chain for getting Data - find Dr Soong's lab, decide whether to reactivate the android and get a leader or study it and get research. Maybe militaristic empires could get Lore... :)

I'm getting seemingly random desktop crashes since your latest update.
They occur about once an hour or so.
I haven't seen a pattern to them.
And I never got them before this update.

I am using only the STNH base and content mods.

I'm not getting any crashes when using non-STNH mods in other campaigns, so I'm suspecting it's an issue with this mod.

Sorry I can't be more specific.

Keep up the awesome work!

Unless you form the Federation as the Tellarites or Andorians, you either have Defensive Wars only or Liberation Wars, which with the latter the only war I'm aware of that you can really wage is Ideology Wars with Rivals.

Oooof. Thanks for that. I started a new game as the tellarites. But now I have a problem. I started a coalition with United earth, but Vulcan and Adorians have started their own. Do I just need to leave the coalition and hope I get a invite from Vulcan?

Yes. To Form the Federation you need at least three Federation Founder races, yourself and two others (I don't know if you can do it as a non-Federation founder joining the coalition with the others, as I was attempting to find out as the Orions in a recent run)

I state that, as the Andorians or United Earth, you need to keep an eye on coalition forming if your wanting to found the federation. If your not wanting to (as I sometimes do as Andorians) you don't have to worry much, since the Tellarites usually form their own.

Playing as the Borg and I automatically get full survey info for every system that any contacted empire builds a station in. Is that supposed to happen or is it a bug?

As Orinsul mentioned, it's how the base game works now. Once you have contact with an empire, all space they control becomes surveyed. This includes space they add over time.

I just got the Enterprise Refit mission and when it finished my Admiral was killed because the Enterprise was destroyed when it upgraded. Luckily this was on 1-15 so i just had to reload autosave and take him off the Enterprise.
