Just change it in the main New Horizons mod itself. It will get override eventually in the next update but just change it again :)

I notice in my games the Vulcans and the Andorians immediately coalition together. During this period aren't those two sort of at their others throats?

They are, but the game doesn't yet model that.

Yes, but we need to write a bunch of events to handle their reconciliation and eventual alliance.

It'll happen, but some prerequisites first!

I hope that it'll have possibilities to turn into war or even for surprise usurpation of P'jem by the Andorians, or hijinks on the part of the Vulcans (looking forward to things being modeled for them being manipulated by Romulans, perhaps even the possibility of the Vulcan government ethics shifting, or even joining the Romulans and switching to playing as them)

Look forward also to possibility of United Earth getting to play a role there.

I have a query though. Before VIL update, were some of the Xenophobe Empires able to access Full Citizenship for other races? Or am I thinking a change for the current base vanilla thing? I ask because I decided to restart my Dominion run after a crash corrupted the save file, and I'm on good terms with the Dosi so I would love to be able to make them full citizens if I ever absorb any of their planets.

At the very least, I could swear the Dominion was an exception...

I'm not sure as to the value of the weapon research - the Andorian phasers are outright worse than Phase Cannon II, as they don't have any special modifiers like armor or shield penetration and have the same flat damage and I haven't seen any upgrades for them in my tech tree - so I would suggest passing them over or doing a little save scumming if necessary to determine whether or not they're actually useful (also, devs, would you mind putting a little description for the techs on the screen to say what they do when you mouse over the options? I went for the Tellarites ritualized debating and was more than a little miffed when the game said it gave 0 influence and checked the top to see it only gave 0.25 :p) but stuff like the Vulcan's Teaching of Sarek (I think this shows up as Surak in game, as it should) are brilliant and definitely should be taken when you get the chance.

Any idea where can I see which factions provide embassies with a unique happiness resource upon integration?

so ive given up on my Dominion playthrough.... at the 2300 hundreds the game just grinds to a halt making for me, unplayable. Im on a large milky way map. I have a i7 7700HQ and a gtx1060.

i know this also happens to vanilla stellaris, but has anyone found a work around to make the game run smoother?

There's always the megastructure variant?




Oh, something slipped through patchnotes recently - addition of the Trabe to the Delta Quadrant. If the Kazon are not played by a Human player they'll start the game as slaves of the Trabe. If the Kazon are played by a Human they'll start the game at war with the Trabe and led by Jal Sankur.

The Trabe have a semi-unique shipset - in that they share desigs with the Kazon only using different coloured hulls.

You need the tech "Jem'Hadar Flagship" and it's built with a construction ship via the megastructure / megaproject menu. Has a couple of stages that need to be completed first.

Here's hoping that the Federation/Terran Empire can get something like that someday. My liberation fleets could do with a worthy flagship :p

Also, is there a possibility for a deluxe version of the Alpha-Beta quadrant map? It's a really fun map to play, especially as a Federation player since there's tons of minor powers to interact with and you can get the real experience of building the Federation, but I was hoping for a version that had more stars, say, as many as the full galaxy map?

Any idea where can I see which factions provide embassies with a unique happiness resource upon integration?
I don't know where those are located, unfortunately. I'll have a little rummage through the files since I guess they've got something to do with the traditions, which should have me on the right track! :D

Hi guys,

I'm getting a crippling bug where when I start (not launch) a game, it immediately crashes. I've completely un-installed/re-installed the game and mod several times now over the last week, and no matter what I do I'm not getting any positive results. Also, several of the UI elements are misbehaving, whatever text is supposed to show up when you hover over something, whether it be any of the main menu items, or perhaps while I try to select a species, is unreadable, or even recognizable as a font. There is also a lot of flickering in the species select sidebar.

I'm only running the mod and submod, nothing else, no advisor voices, no ui mods, official or otherwise...

I don't suppose anyone has seen this happen before and can help fix it?

Hey, just curious, but is armageddon bombardment in the game, or something else able to flatten a planet?

I've got a Terran Empire game going where I accepted the Xenophobic faction into the government and got to Cardassia Prime only to find out the AI had spammed clone armies again and made the planet nigh impossible to storm, so I was hoping to try and just flatten the place and move on, but regular bombardment just doesn't pack enough punch.
