My launcher is saying the subcontent mod is not up to date with the 1.8 release, even after unsubscribing and resubscribing (which worked for the UI Borg mod)
Well, I'm fairly sure that the updates to the submod weren't critical - just tied to the Borg VO pack we made. So should be fine to wait for Steam to get its act together.

Keep in mind though that we have NO control over how Steam updates. The fix is uploaded our end... everything else you need to speak to Valve about.

I'm playing as the Federation, and the Mars Verteron Array Project never passes the <5% complete mark.
I've had the project going for at least 20 years, and have always had a pop working the Verteron tile.
But no progress.

Random Query- what are some of the things that can happen when you have the Augment event pop up, or the Botany Bay one? I'm curious if there's a way for you to become the Augment Khaganate or have United Earth/UFP gain khan and his augment buddies.

There is a completely new Borg UI for 1.8 and the old, not compatible Borg UI will be removed in the near future.
You need to unsubscribe from the old Borg UI and subscribe to the new Borg UI. It says so in the description as well.

I have to ask, is it intended for Romulan AI to start with just 1 system, Klingon AI to start with seemingly randomly 3 or 4 systems, and Husnock AI to start with anywhere between 2 and 4 systems (and sometimes with a different empire colour too)? I've been noticing this on observe mod and have tested multiple times, have deleted all my custom empires and even done a complete reinstall of stellaris and STNH, submod and UI's, and it is still occurring.

What species? How much unity do you have, how much does the next tradition need?

Are you running any other mods?

Have had no reports of this elsewhere...

United Federation of Planets (started as United Earth). Only the Federation UI, Content Pack and the New Horizons mod running.

As of my latest save-game the year is 2231 and I've yet to unlock any traditions. I have 22k Unity and gaining 64 per month, 192 months left to unlock the next tradition. It's roughly stuck at around 62% and it doesn't move forward.

And finally in 2232 the Verteron Array event fired.

I wonder if these events get screwed up with the new interface where you can set the "railroading" of the campaign when you start a new game. I set it to 2x.

Send a save game over and we'll take a look. Sounds like you haven't put much into unity buildings though?
Nope, I've put the bare minimum into Unity buildings.

Full disclosure: Due to laziness I have also used the console commands quite a few times for energy/minerals/unity, but that's about it.

I can upload more save files if you wish, the one I uploaded now has a few traditions unlocked simply because I found it way too bizarre to play for 100+ years and not a single one was unlocked by then.

That is not true, I've seen the earth destroyed by the Xindi a few times when playing as a different species.

Unless that's a new thing, I have NEVER seen anything happening for United Earth in regards to the Xindi unless playing as them. Even when playing as the Andorians or Vulcans and getting into an early coalition with them.

And I've also never seen the Andorians or Vulcan's get the special story event ships either.

So I have the event to Refit the NX-01, but it doesn't have and requirements, it just says return to earth, but nothing is happening. Like there is no research option or anything.

Try two things.

1- move the fleet just a bit away then bring it back to Earth. I've had it not fire even when the Enterprise is already sitting in Earth Orbit before.

2- pull it out of any fleet it's in and leave it by itself.

Nope, I've put the bare minimum into Unity buildings.

Full disclosure: Due to laziness I have also used the console commands quite a few times for energy/minerals/unity, but that's about it.

I can upload more save files if you wish, the one I uploaded now has a few traditions unlocked simply because I found it way too bizarre to play for 100+ years and not a single one was unlocked by then.
Since this is the first report of this behaviour in this mod ever it is unlikely this mod is responsible for that.
It seems more like an additional mod (despite asked you did not answer) is to blame, either by incompatability with 1.8 or STH.

So I have the event to Refit the NX-01, but it doesn't have and requirements, it just says return to earth, but nothing is happening. Like there is no research option or anything.

Try having the ship alone, without a fleet. I had the same issues. Just be careful. When I did that, the NX-01 went to the new fleet and the Enterprise fleet went to earth LOL. Once I put Fleet 2 to Earth it worked. Funny now I have two Enterprise fleets lol. Thing is I can't remember if I had to go to the third tab at the top to activate it once the Enterprise went to Earth or if it happened by its self.
