I'm not dead! The latest patches just sort of broke it and I don't ... really... know how to fix things. Help would be appreciated!!
Here's
Sonendar v.1.05.3-alpha if any enterprising would-be modders want to try their skill at cracking this.
If you're "okay" with playing with these particular (severe) oddities, well, best of luck to you! But all the problems introduced in compatibility with patch 1.11 and now 2.0 are the real reason (plus a very busy grad school/work schedule) why I haven't updated this in months.
Issues:
-Why are the provinces mostly "no religion"? I have it defined for every province in all the history files. This is a big stumper, and my main problem here.
-Norrgods events are broken somehow. Putting them in causes the "blank events" problem. But I can't see why, all the brackets are closed! You can see it here:

Oh yes, another news thing. I've been participating in "
NaNoManGo". If you've ever heard of "NaNoWriMo"-- National Novel Writing Month-- the idea is to basically write 50,000 words of a novel all in one go, in a single month. Well, NaNoManGo is the comic equivalent-- at least roughly pencil 30 pages of comic in one month.
Anyways, I've been
drawing a story based on the Sonendar setting, but accelerated about 800 years into the future, set during the beginning of Sonendar's Industrial Revolution era. Think "Sonendar -- Victoria II edition!" with some minor geographical changes. The story centers around Almeria Athenia I, the 18-year old queen of Zuhrenheim, who returns from an education in the modernized Yuan Empire (by 5012 known as "The Thousand Year Heavenly Republic"), convinced that the way forward for her tiny, impoverished Reichsmarch country, is to embrace the Industrial Revolution and Easternize...
By the way, if you're wondering why the byline is different, DrSunshine is the handle I typically use elsewhere. If you're into the setting, you can check it out. Be warned, however, that the comic is quite roughly penciled in parts -- I haven't had time to completely ink most pages, and the 30 pages-30 days schedule is incredibly tough. Also, I draw in a pretty manga-esque style so if it's not your thing, you may want to pass.
